So that's our Smokey Gray alternate for this year. The team will wear it for the Florida game. I am 98% sure Adidas is trolling Tennessee for leaving them for Nike cause that is ugly.

I genuinely thought that was a soccer goalie jersey. Oof, sorry UT.

Ha! I was just reading on an Instagram I follow about it football where they broke the story about them last night and a guy went off in the comments saying there was no way they could be real.
^Yeah, that's just awful. I don't like the steps we're taking toward Maryland/Louisville uniform nonsense.
I like alternate uniforms. It changes things up. The players seem to get pretty excited about them. They just have to be executed well. Some of Oregon's are rough but, for the most part, they are pretty good. On the other end, you have Maryland whose alternates generally look horrid. I haven't looked at enough of Louisville's to have an informed opinion about them.

I like the Smokey Greys from last year; they looked good. The new ones almost feel like an experimental move from Adidas. They were like "what the hell, we're losing the contract next year anyway..."
In other news, I read they were wearing them for Florida. The coaches and athletic department have been walking that back.

I may be a bit biased, but I thought the new black Louisville uni's were pretty awesome. Honestly, there is nothing that crazy about them. There is a bit of history behind it too. Petrino was a huge fan of our teams wearing the black jerseys in his 1st stint at Louisville. I honestly don't remember if our teams ever wore black before Petrino. Strong for some reason or another would not allow them, and now they are back.

^I didn't want to imply that I don't like alternate uniforms at all (grouping L'ville in with Maryland may have been misleading; Maryland's uniforms are just awful). I just like Tennessee's traditional uniforms. The Smokey Greys still had the classic look. I like the blacks for the Cards, but I don't think I would like something similar for UT.
I'm thinking UGA pulls away late in the 4th 34-24. Georgia should run away with it on paper but this game never plays out like it's supposed to.
Not going to put too much stock into a win over an unproven Clemson team.
Clemson may not be an elite team this year, but I do think it's a quality win. Given that, I give Georgia the victory more on South Carolina having been unimpressive so far. They got housed by A&M and only won by ten over East Carolina.
As far as Tennessee goes, the line is 21, and I would still take Oklahoma. Wins over Utah St and Arkansas St are not exactly gold stars on a resume. Add to this that they were both at home whereas this game will be at a hostile Oklahoma stadium. Most of you know I hate hearing it again and again, but this trip represents the first road trip for 2/3 of the traveling squad. You just can't write off something like that. Lastly, Tennessee has a growing number of playmakers in the skill positions, but Von Pearson is out this game which is something that I can't help but think will have an impact.

Carolina hasn't looked good at all. I think Uga controls the entire game and is more dominant than they were against Clemson, but somehow the score ends up being closer. Clemson was only down 3 with 10 minutes to go, that sounds crazy considering that we ended up losing by 24. But before the meltdown/eruption it was a very tight game. uga 38 sc 21.

I have a similar prediction as sang_xcx UGA 35-20 USCe. Although I think it very well could be much, much worse for them.
I'll be super happy if Tennessee covers the spread. Tennessee really has nothing to lose, they are expected to be destroyed. So just keeping it close and seeing Worley keep his cool and make smart decisions, and North and Howard make some plays aaginst a big time opponent will be enough for me. It's annoying how much hype this game is getting for Oklahoma's chance to "beat an SEC team" and "make a statement for the playoff committee" etc, because anyone who follows football realizes that this is a David vs. Goliath.
