I'm actually very surprised nobody has proposed the idea of an official meet-up for board members that will be arriving as early as possible, and thus, will probably be quarantined in POD 1 for a full night.
I propose someone set up a canopy, get a couple of lights set up, and everyone gather round with their chairs for a first night quarantine hang out, and see what kind of awesome things ensue.

I was planning on wearing a ghillie suit and stealthily rolling out of the passenger door on the way in. I'll be that unusal looking pile of green laying in the middle of the field for two days. Could also double as my costume for the parade.

I'll be arriving around 3-330ish Wednesday afternoon and getting right in line. I'll be driving an orange Dodge Caliber with a Michigan plate. And I'll have a canopy with lights strung inside and paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. And there will be caution tape around the guy lines. I'm bringing a table and a few chairs. So if anybody wants to come find my friend and I you're welcome too. We're getting there early just so we can have a night of partying.

There's usually a small encampment by the entrance to POD 1 ready to move as soon as security will let us. I've seen a few EZ-Ups set up, but really it's just more to take down when it's time to move to TO. And they usually end the quarantine around 3am I think.

In 2012, my group pretty much said fuck it and just set up camp right there at that entrance and went to sleep. In defeated fashion, we never bothered moving to tent only the following morning and just stayed at that entrance which actually turned out to be a pretty cool camping spot. I'm surprised they didn't make us move.

I'm working tollbooths wednesday from 3pm to 3am then walking back to pod1 volunteer campgrounds ill be down to bringing some beer and kicking back with some of ya

I searched for the other pod1 solution thread but can't seem to find it... Has anyone confirmed this? Will they let people walk through from pod 1? This is some really important info, other than that I can't wait!!!!

Since I really enjoyed Pod 1 last year, I wouldn't hate it if I get lost in there again. Sure it was a long walk, but the people and things you see to and from Centeroo are memories I'll never forget. Plus the long walk allowed for me to drink two beers on the way.

Was it you I met at the info tent? I had lost my wristband (just slipped off) and you had the story of losin' all your campin' gear?

nope, through all the debauchery we were able to hold onto all of our gear haha. although in the mosquito net canopy with us for a while was one of our fellow inforoosters, although i can't remember his name for the life of me.
