I joined a facebook group called "What's spinning (on your turntable)"
The whole point of this group is to post pictures of whatever record you are listening to at the moment. In theory it creates discussion about music, but it is mostly just people posting there pictures and other people liking the pictures, not much discussion comes out of it.
I figured this forum will probably be a better place for such a discussion. If something of the sort already exists, I apologize for not looking, and any mod can feel free to merge or delete this post.
That is a loaded question. I almost put "also known as the best side," but I thin "Four Horsemen" keeps it from beating side 2, which has four of the top 10-15 Clash songs ever.

Well here is another loaded question for you, a question I only ask because I have an answer for it myself, and because it is one of my favorite topics of conversation, but there are few people I can converse with about it.
The only thing that competes with Side A of 1999 for me right now is Side A of The Tyranny of Distance, but the issue that keeps it in second is that on every release except the vinyl, Timorous Me comes before Stove by a Whale. On the vinyl, Stove is first, and thus, on A, while Timorous Me opens up the flip side.
My house was an Elton house growing up, so I have had the pleasure of his music for over two decades. My first CD was an Elton John comp that McDonald's was selling when I was like 6 or 7. I believe it had an all yellow booklet.
This copy of Yellow Brick Road was among the first used records I bought. It's an original pressing, it was $18 and should have probably been twice that given how good it (still) sounds.

I am not sure how I feel about this album. At times I can get into it and just zone out. At other times it is very repetitive and almost impossible to listen to more than a few songs.
One thing I know for sure, I wish I would have bought the cd instead, because an album with 9 songs, probably doesn't need to be a double album.

I know where you are coming from but live is a different story, man what a show

I believe that my friend. Do you think they'll do another tour?
