Hi all. I'm working on organizing a fundraiser, part of which will include a battle of the bands. We're looking for 10 to 20 bands, they'll play 3-5 songs. The prize is $1,000 cash, studio time and radio airplay. The event will be in Wilmington, NC on Sunday September 7th, during the day and the winner is chosen by fan votes. What I'm wondering is how big a net to cast and if there are any recommended places to post the announcement.

As someone who has had to attend multiple battle of the band events, I would recommend keeping it to 1-2 songs maximum. Or perhaps a time limit for each band?
