I don't think anyone's excited about it. More like waiting for the inevitable, I suppose.

I'm personally excited for it because I pre-ordered it and would like my own copy.

People seem to be totally clueless regarding finances.
HAVING 53 million in debt is NOT the same as being 53 million in debt.
Also there is literally a 0% chance this album doesn't come out via other mediums (iTunes, Spotify, physical copies, whatever). If this album only ever "officially" exists on Tidal I will eat dog poop.
And I hope we hear at least a few of those unreleased Thug and Kendrick tracks.

I do not want to eat dog poop
I want closure and I want to know when we end up with the "final" album
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Let me know when you're ready to get eating, you beatnik.

It appears to me Kanye tried to help save Tidal. Now it's time for him to try and make some profits off the album. I've seen the recent headlines that Jay is suing the former owners for around $15 million for exaggerating it's number of subscribers. An article I read also stated Tidal posted a loss for $10 million for 2014.

while Tidal is way behind other streaming services in terms of overall subscribers, it has had significant growth in the past year.
that's a pretty significant jump. still way behind the tens of millions from spotify/apple etc. the most surprising part of that figure is the 1.35m willing to pay extra for the HiFi service.
of course Tidal themselves are the source of these numbers, announced 3/29/16, so it could be horseshit. It could include all the people who signed up for a free trial for TLOP and will soon cancel.
I just really want there to continue to be a CD quality streaming service option.
