I am embarking on my first trip into Colorado the weekend of the 23-25/26 for my ladies birthday celebration/to get a feel for the city in case i decide to move. As of right now the plans is to drive up that Sunday into Denver and spend the next few days exploring. What i was needing help with is finding places to stop along the drive (i love stopping at scenic areas), and places to enjoy while i am in Denver (food/entertainment/dispensaries/etc.). Any and all advice is helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank you
Go to Boulder. Climb the Royal Arch. Have brunch. Try to play multiple pick-up basketball games without puking from altitude sickness. Check out the live music. Talk to strangers - the friendliest people.
I would love to go drive up the Mount Evans Scenic Byway because it seems like a fun way to waste some time. Also i may go ice skating at Skyline park. I just dont know what all i can do in the cold in Colorado that doesn't cost a million dollars. Just FYI, Im horrible at planning anything!

The ole lady isnt much for 1-1 but the Royal Arch is on the itinerary. Any recommendations on where to enjoy a good brunch?

Snow tubing or sledding is fun and cheap There are places that have contraptions to get you to the top of a hill so you can do it over and over and over again.

There are no concerts scheduled for a while, but you can still visit Red Rocks Amphitheatre/Park. It's close to Denver and is really pretty and also free, good for views and a little hiking (if you want).

That sounds awesome, especially since it rarely if ever snows in Texas, Ice yes, but no snow. And i would LOVE to see a show at Red Rocks but even touring it sounds like a fun thing to do. Gracias.
