This playlist is pretty friggin great, guys. I'm hearing lots of stuff I typically don't even give the time of day.
One thing's for sure: It has definitely reaffirmed the fact that Inforoo sure loves The Foo Fighters... and I still just don't get it.
Have you seen them live? Maybe that's what you are missing?
I was never a huge Foo Fighters fan in general (just a normal fan), more of a Dave Grohl fan, but godnabbit, that put on an AMAZING live show. I just saw them at HOB in NOLA last Friday (11/27), and they played for over 3 hours. I helped Dave off stage to frolic in the crowd, he hugged an old lady next to me (not this old lady, sadface) and was all around fantastic. I have seen them 4 times in the last year and a half, and that was by far the BEST time I saw them. Even better than the secret preservation hall performance where we met him (after stalking for hours). Mind Blown for sure, they have definitely jumped up high on my favorite bands list.
I actually almost never listen to Foo Fighters. But anytime I have the chance to see them live I go out of my way to check them out. They're awesome.
Yep exactly. I don't listen to them much, but their live show is just so great and Dave is amazing. By listening to their CDs you really don't get a good feel of how their live shows are.

I am playing around with the idea of seeing them Friday at a small venue (Irving Plaza). I saw them at Globel Fest a couple years ago and they killed it.

See them in the small venue. I think that they are even better in that type of setting.

In the last couple weeks I listened to all of their albums. They are really odd because they can write the most awesome catchy rock songs, but somehow half of the stuff they put out is just average. When they play live they only play the good stuff and it's a great show.

See, I thought I would've had a lot more AF in my lists. My most listened AF song ("Culture War", surprisingly) doesn't even make the top 25 (it's #26).
I was actually rather surprised that "Paper Trails" was my #1. For a song I've only been listening to for three months I must've given it a shit ton of streams.
Haha good song though! I'm very surprised at my #1 song too. I like that Cayucas song but I had no idea iv listened to it that much. I guess it's just one of those songs that slip by and is so non offensive that you don't skip through it. Love the song though.
5 of my top 20 songs are Arcade Fire haha

It fits perfectly with the "What has Inforoo been listening to?" idea.
Plus, I thought it was interesting, 'cuz I could look back through the year with the seasonal artists and kind of connect artists and songs with particular moments. Or, rather, vice versa.
I think that art transcends the moments that people tie it to.
I mean, I can still listen to "Piledriver Waltz" without feeling sad, even though it perfectly encapsulates the break-up I recently went through.

How do you look this up. I did it last year and can't remember how I did it.
And yes. I'll be adding someone music once I get to a desktop!!
I just rediscovered Spotify within the last week or so. I joined up when it first started getting popular, but left almost immediately because of Facebook spamming, ad interruptions, and no in-browser listening. It seems all those problems have been taken care of, and I find these playlists more approachable than parsing through everything I haven't heard of in Now Playing, so... I need more playlist suggestions! (not that this one is shabby in the least).

Go there and click the get your year in review button on the top right.
Ps you better start adding stuff soon!
I will! I promise! I need to look at the playlist still. According to my year in review I do 47% of my listening "on the go" so you can understand that it may take me a minute.
Also, I have spent 61,831 minutes listening. Y'all are definitely amateur hour.

I'm 5% on go, and listen 38,300 minutes. I'm going to post when I get to work and can copy and paste. I listen the most on Wednesdays too... And my bands were predictable. Lol
This is pissing me off. I'm clicking the link in the OP and it opens in a web window. I click follow on spotify and the music plays in spotify but i can't access the playlist there. I even searched it, no results. then i went to your profile, and its not listed as one of your public playlists. Idk what i'm doing wrong?!?!
edit: ok, apparently i can listen to the playlist on spotify. I hit next and it goes to the next song, but it wont let me actually see the playlist.. this has to be a glitch or something. (i've already restarted spotify twice though.)

I actually rarely use spotify. I don't have premium and I listen to a lot of music on my ipod or google music. I checked out my year in music stats anyway though. seems my least listened to genre is "jam bands" but my most listened to artist is the grateful dead.
and my most listened to album is Now is the time by nightmares on wax, which completely baffles me. I like nightmares on wax, but I only remember listening to that album once or twice this year.
