I forgot to mention I listened to (most of) your last episode. I enjoyed the discussion of Avicii in particularly, your cohost's story about heading to Ultra to see him was vivid and entertaining. I think y'all discussed Kanye too? I enjoyed that if so. Podcasts are getting mixed up in my head.

Aw, thanks! We did discuss Kanye a bit, but that episode was recorded before some of the more...questionable events.
this last episode with david wain. the toll free number bit, particularly the conclusion when they all uncharacteristically lost it, is the hardest i've laughed at this podcast. i was outside letting the dogs pee and was laughing so hard my abs were killing me.
i think it's because i was right there with them, i'd forgotten the premise of the joke to begin with, and then there is this long journey to get to the end, and then scott is barely able to get out between laughs what the original intent of the toll free number is... jesus i'm laughing right now thinking about it.
wain quickly switching from impressions to accents in the "always time for impressions" sub ep was also wonderful. that guy is funny.

On the latest episode of my podcast On The Record, we fool ourselves into thinking we are qualified enough to review new albums from Jon Hopkins, Post Malone and DJ Koze. Enjoy.
I'm working my way through R U Talkin U2 2 Me inbetween episodes of R U Talkin REM Re: Me. Just finished the first Achtung Baby ep where they don't talk about Achtung Baby at all. The shit for blood/apple butter bit has to be one of the all time great bits of the series right? So good.
Also, I've never been a U2 fan, but I've been listening to the albums as I listen to the episodes. I would think I'd enjoy the early records since I'm such a big post punk fan, but they come across as anemic. But I really listened to Achtung Baby for the first time yesterday, and I'm listening to it again now, and I have to admit this is a good record. Hot take I know, but it's a big step for me.

I really enjoyed Geostorm and Ladybugs recently. Especially since, like June, I really liked Ladybugs as a kid but now, as an adult, good lord. My parents let me watch that? Yeesh.
How Did This Get Made is wonderful and the Lake Placid ep is an all-time great 90 minutes of comedy.
That one must be behind the paywall. Lake Placid is so wonderfully terrible.
I've watched it multiple times this year alone. So much fun. They made that one with tongue firmly planted in cheek. The sequels are pretty forgettable but I think that I've seen them all until they started crossing over with other franchises.

Have you not kept up with the Sharknado franchise?
Not really.
I just think it's funny that the literal interpretation of that title is that an Anaconda fights a large body of water. Even then, Anaconda vs Lake Placid would make more sense.
