The fest that is created by Nile Rodgers, will be a Martha Calara Vineyard out in Riverhead,NY August 4th and 5th. Here is who we know that is playing:
I didn't realize it was during the week. That is odd. It might have to do with the town itself with all the town politics that happen. This was the same town that squashed Field Day and Bonnaroo NE in the same years after they green lighted both, so I am surprised they are giving this a go. I honestly don't know how they plan on hosting 10,000 as the venue isn't all that big. Plus the road is one lane,so they will be a pain as well. The plus is I live down the road, so I can hear this for free from my house.
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
We may try and do this. Only 20 minutes from the in laws and we are going to be in town visiting anyways. Wonder how the vineyard is going to handle this many people. Expecting traffic hell.
