I could make one really good day out of all that. Petty, Weezer, Galactic, and Revivalists heck yeah. Mumford, Mowglis, and Shins pretty good. Some of the others, meh.
From what you have said of your tastes, there is a lot more on here that'd you'd like. Why is Lettuce so damn low?

I didn't list folks I've seen more than a couple times like Alabama Shakes and Charles Bradley. I didn't research each one of them, but again, a few I would like to see again, and some I would not pay to see again. Lettuce, Umph and jam bands without a strong vocals and lyrics kinda get boring to me after a while. Galactic is waaay better with someone like Macy Gray fronting them. I guess that is why I'm a TTB fan. Susan Tedeschi is one of the most soulful singers out there. When it comes to my tastes, singer/songwriter is probably at the top and then soul/blues second.
Hahaha. Nonetheless, you can Skip The Mumfords Sons on Sunday night and drive over for the show at the Saenger. I still hate the idea of missing them at Hangout though.
F'n Yachty. I don't know what to think about him. Two of my kids love Bob's Burgers, the other one can't stand it. The same two like Yachty, not because they think he's great or anything, my other one loathes him. I think it's the ironic nature of that generation to laugh at shit I guess and appreciate shit you laugh at. They don't listen to him much, but they dragged me to about 5 minutes of the Buku set on the way to Big Wild. I expected a 0/10 but got a 2.5/10 because his DJ wasn't that bad, and also they busted out some Slim Thug early in the set. I really don't find him to be talented as a singer or rapper, but apparently that doesn't matter to the general public or to Yachty himself either. He feels like people have made him the poster child for the mumble era and just automatically hate on him because of that.
It's a mystery to me, and that's not because I'm old. I love rap, and as anyone can see by the shows I've listed on my 2017 shows so far in my signature line (it's only a partial list), I see plenty of it. Ordinarily I'd dismiss it as pop crap, but it really isn't that. I think he genuinely has some charisma (or something) that brings in fans. It can't possibly be the raps or singing though his DJ's beats are sort of what gave the show a 2.5/10 instead of 1/10 for me.
I guess I shouldn't even bother pondering the paradox of Yachty having any fans at all, because there are no easy answers. He seems like a fun and positive individual that doesn't give a fuck about what anyone else says. Even the lyrics are kind of stupid. Consider Wanna Be Us
Bitch You know it's Lil Boat Bitch it's Lil Boat and Lil Perry I keep them hoes like a ferry My hair be red like a cherry All of them n's they know All of them n's they know me All of them n's they know us Them n's wanna be us... ...I need my bitch like a Reeses Got yo bitch wwet like the Ganges Walkin on water like Jesus Bitches they changin' like seasons I need like five for my leases I got ice on my wrist Whipping the work like a Prius None of these n's can see us I'm up in the Himalayas Bitches they trying to lay us I hit that bitch then I lay up Put it in like a finger roll Hit that bitch and then I troll Can't have one bitch, I need like four They scream my name at shows
I mean to me, come fucking on. That's dismal. But apparently the world doesn't think so.

Has anyone tried to buy a ticket on the street Sunday? I could go for a discounted ticket, Sunday only, and catch Mumford and Weezer. Going Friday and Saturday still up in the air. Anybody got an alumni they want to sell?

How does one pronounce 'biznatch' anyway? Just like it sounds? 'biz' - 'nach', as in nach-os? Matters when evaluating these lyrics ;-)

The thing that people like about Yachty is how relatable he is. He's not a thug, he's a nerdy black dude obsessed with anime and memes and doesn't give a fuck what people think about him, who just likes to rap over dope beats. It's hype party music, don't listen to the lyrics, listen to the way his voice sounds over the beat and just get hype if you can. He doesn't claim to have bars and be the best rapper alive. He's just doing him, just as all hiphop has tried to encourage.
When did the "daily lineups" and "detailed schedule" show up in GV era? Can someone post the schedule they have put together from researching websites and tour dates? Much appreciated.
Where is the nearest bus stop to Orange Beach water tower? Would it be better to park and ride from the State Park (red line only has one stop), or somewhere along the blue line? Are there more blue than red line buses. $50 sounds reasonable. Anyone paid to park daily and not used the shuttle?

The locals sell daily parking $20 a day. I used to park in this guys yard right next to the gift shop with the octopus. It's your best bet since you're a two minute walk to the car.
Honestly I think driving and parking is the better idea as long as you are going with someone. It's 100 dollars for two people to get shuttle passes and only 60 for you to park really close to the festival all three days. Plus you can keep alcohol in your car and avoid paying 8 bucks for a beer. Just don't drink and drive
It will depend on schedule. If everyone I want to see is stacked together, I'll drive and park. Only night I plan to stay late is for Mumford and Sons.
Some exciting things happening in our backyard here in Phoenix, AZ! Just found out the creators of Bonnaroo and Outsidelands, Superfly, are starting a new festival called Lost Lake, in the heart of Phoenix at Steele Indian School Park. Excited to see how the community reacts to the inaugural event. PHX needs something like this.
We have McDowell Mountain Music Fest, which is always great, but it's very small and they are pretty limmeted in the bands they can book. Although, McDowell Mountain has stepped up their game last couple years. Beck played last year which was my second time seeing him (first time seeing him was at hangout) and he crushed it. This year they got The Shins, Govt Mule, Lettuce, Railroad Earth, Flume, Chromeo, GroupLove, Bob Moses... sparkysarah will probably hate me for saying this, but this year was the second time The Shins played that festival and the third time I've seen them, and I just can not get into their live shows. I figured third time would be the charm, but nope. Another total let down. Everyone else crushed it though!
Grouplove covered Beastie Boys, Gov't Mule covered Radiohead, and I actually really liked Bob Moses.
Lost Lake sounds like it will be on another level though.
On a side note, Rainbow Kitten Surprise is playing here on Monday. Excited to see them for sure.
