Yes. According to Rummy 500 it's where people go to die.
Rummy does have a very good point.
But let's say our clue giver isn't aware of that. The best thing they could come up with was to hint at Miami Horror was "where is a scary movie buried?" That would be a new low for Roo Clues.
The clue isn't "where a scary movie buried" its "a scary flick, but where is it buried"... I mean these things are so dumb to begin with, it seems like an obviously dumb answer fits.

This and most of the other clues have been direct references to the artist's name and for the most part just picked a different way to describe their names. The newest one is "A fine coat and a furry friend," clearly Cashmere Cat. I think saying this clue is Carrie Underwood is giving the makers of the clues way too much credit for being clever and subtle.
And I agree, because the clue is worded how it is, the two parts are referencing the two parts of the band's name. Miami Horror checks out. They're at Coachella. I think they are the answer for sure.

I was paraphrasing to save time. Even a dumb clue/answer has to have some logic behind it. Having that explained isn't asking for much.

I agree, and my explanation is that a scary flick is a Horror genre, and that it is buried in Miami. Things can be buried in Miami. I don't think that is a nonsensical answer, I think that it fits both parts of the clue. But once again, I think that all these clues are fucking stupid and I suck at all of them. AND, I just don't think that the other guesses, other than Carrie Underwood which I don't see happen, fit either.
I am on board with the scary flick = horror but I think that answer answer calls flat with where it's buried = Miami.
I see the logic y'all are using to get there but I think if I was designing a clue and I wanted someone to think of Miami then burial would be pretty far down the list of clues that I would use.
Maybe something about dolphins or beaches or Will Smith but not burial.
I've never posted here before, but I've followed along and post over on the reddit page and I gotta say, I can't see how it isn't Carrie Underwood. These clues have been extremely straight forward and she's the only act that fits what they've been doing so far, the only reason that no one's accepting her as the answer is because it's extremely unlikely that Bonnaroo would book her. But last year Bonnaroo booked Tears for Fears out of left field AND they were a roo clue (even though everyone thought it was Death Cab for Cutie).
I look at it this way: if you're the intern that has to write these clues, what would you write for it? If Miami Horror was the clue, why would you even write 'bury'? Considering how easy they've been, wouldn't you write something about south or heat or beach or something like that?
A Place to Bury Strangers is still a decent possibility, but using the name of the band in the clue doesn't seem like something they'd do. You also kind of have to twist the wording around to make it work unlike most of the other straight forward clues (Blood Orange, Lord Huron, Cashmere Cat). And The Strangers is a pretty obscure movie to reference.
You wanna know what scary movie is extremely famous? Carrie You wanna know where it's buried? Under Wood
So either: A. It's Carrie Underwood, or B. It's a crazy coincidence. I'm sticking with A
Edit-I mean have you seen clue #9? Even I could have figured that one out. And that's not saying much.
Yes, and the parts of the band's name fit logically:
A nice coat= Cashmere
A furry friend= Cat
So, from what I can tell, people are saying Maimi Horror because...
A scary flick = horror movie
the place said "Horror" is buried = Miami?????????
It doesn't work out. Why Miami and not anywhere else in the entire world? Is there no secondary reason for this? An Album name or song title? Is there something Miami is famous for besides being a shit hole?
I look at it this way: if you're the intern that has to write these clues, what would you write for it? If Miami Horror was the clue, why would you even write 'bury'? Considering how easy they've been, wouldn't you write something about south or heat or beach or something like that?
What else would they write if they're implying the location of a horror movie? "Where was it murdered?"
If the burial part is definitely referencing a cemetery or graveyard, then I suppose Father John Misty isn't a bad guess. But I just think it's much simpler than that, considering the other clues. What other bands can be associated with cemeteries?

I just mean for Miami Horror specifically. If they were writing a clue for Miami Horror, there's a million other things that they could write that would make more sense than buried that fits with what they've been doing ("A hot beach and a scary movie" or something like that)
I think the grave/cemetery thing makes sense but I haven't come up with anything or seen anything guessed that fits as well as Carrie Underwood does.
As someone who's never heard of Jaws Underground until now and have no clue whether he fits for Bonnaroo or if he's well-known enough to justify being a clue...You may have nailed it.
And this is why nobody hires the Inforoo Private Investigator firm for cases anymore. The more time we have to discover clues, the further we get from the truth.

This is the ideal Roo Clue tbh. Its clear to look for a band name that relates to burying a scary movie, yet all of us are still talking about it 8 pages later. I don't think they expected there to be so many possible answers.
At this point, if Father John Misty, Miami Horror, and A Place to Bury Strangers are all on the lineup and they never give us the answer to this clue, I will be upset.
I apparently suck at this game because I am clueless.
Carrie Underwood. Get it?
Oh I get it. I also get that the chance of the answer to a clue being someone of Carrie Underwood's caliber (ie. headliner/Pre-headliner) or the chance of her being at Bonnaroo is slim to nil. So... keep up the good work.
Imagine dragons - Their last album (smoke + mirrors) is a 2010 scary movie and they had an associated publicity stunt for buried treasure (instruments & show tickets) with a clue on the album cover.
Well someone was going to guess that eventually anyway ..
Just to put it out there again (at the risk of being bashed), I still think that Imagine Dragons fits better than most of the other guesses. First, IG latest album is Smoke & Mirrors which is a scary movie:
The only downside is that the treasure was actually found and the clue implies that it is still an open question. But, that may be overthinking the clue.
Not necessarily my pick, as I'd rather see Tame Impala or Wolf Alice but......
