HM: Bowie - I loved it, but I found it hard to listen to. Maybe once I digest more and more of it, and it's away from his death I'll like it even more. Then again, maybe I'll just appreciate it for what it is. Chairlift Savages - Didn't really listen to Silence Yourself many times, but damn this was good

Pretty sure I'm 12 hours late on this but I want to participate in the thread this year. I'm gonna just throw it out there so at least I don't completely miss out on the first month of the year.
In comparison, last January had 34 votes. Panda Bear won with 7, Bjork and Viet Cong had 6.
The average last year was just under 37 votes a month.
March (Kendrick Lamar, Sufjan Stevens, Courtney Barnett) had 49 July (Chemical Bros, Tame Impala, Titus Andronicus) had 44 August (Health, Destroyer, Dr Dre) had 45 October (Fuzz, six other tourney albums) had 43.
Never thought I'd be saying this as I didn't "get" (appreciate) Future until very recently, but that new album (EVOL) is hot AF.
For the longest time Future didn't make sense to me either, that is until I heard his hook on Vince Staples Senorita which is fire. Then it all just started to make sense.

I think what ultimately did it for me is blasting DS2 in a car full of friends while bar hopping around Detroit. It's just great party music even though it can be a little dark.
