The tracks labeled "...and Friends" mostly refer to sessions from February 2015 at a Church near Woodstock converted into a studio with Joe Russo, Cass McCombs, Will Oldham, Kristian “The Tallest Man on Earth” Matsson, Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan, The Walkman’s Walter Martin, The National, Sam Amidon, Conrad Doucette, Sam Cohen and Josh Kaufman. These cuts are more straight-forward, like the Dead's originals. Others stray, such as UMO's Prince-like "Shakedown Street.""
Apparently the new, yet-to-be-titled Swans album is coming out in May. It includes songs "The World Looks Red", "The World Looks Black", "Cloud of Forgetting", "The Glowing Man", and "Finally Peace". The album features lots of orchestration, its longest song is 28 minutes long, and one song features vocals by Michael Gira's wife, Jennifer.
Miguel is releasing a "Waves" remix EP this week, featuring remixes by Tame Impala and RAC and versions of the song with Travis Scott and Kacey Musgraves.
King Gizz just updated their pro-pic. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that this has something to do with their upcoming "unlistenable" "early 2016" album.
edit. Also notice how off-kilter it is. It's almost jarring.

I hated it the first time I heard it, but starting with listen #2 I haven't been able to stop listening. I'll be very curious to see if this reaches anywhere near the same heights "Midnight City" did.
