Since we are on the topic of good shows, I've heard Black Mirror is good. Anyone have thoughts? I might have to check it out if its as dope as all friends have said it is.

Some episodes are outstanding, some are forgettable. Overall definitely worth watching, though.

Really great show and a worthy successor of The Twilight Zone. Also check out The Night Of, some great stuff right there.
The original copy he sent me was really hard to read on my tablet and looked fake as hell. Printing it out and taking a pic like that lolla leak from a few years ago was clever as hell. Props.
ya after saving it and seeing how crappy the colors looked i thought printing it would be in B&W would be the best option. now im pretty intrigued to see the actual poster design.

Do NOT watch the first show of the first season. After that, you are good.

I was getting my haircut the other day and the girl proceeded to tell me all about this episode of Black Mirror. It was uncomfortable.

I couldn't make it through the first episode. I decided y'all were probably high again and gave up on it.

One of the best. Just know that the tone of San Junipero is very different from pretty much all of the other episodes

Best episode of the series thus far
So let me ask you this. Based solely on your assessment that that was the best episode of the series, are you one of the people that would actually watch that happen live?

I watched that a few weeks back after seeing everyone here raving about the series, then I figured you all must be sicker fucks than the sick fucks I already thought you were. It went a little too far but does make you question your own limits, whether as observer or participant. This season's premier of Walking Dead also made me rather uncomfortable and unsure as to whether I could watch anymore. Fortunately those episodes aren't representative of either show's respective season, and y'all are right that Black Mirror is excellent, so thanks.
The Crown does look really good, but I actually just got HBO. Started Westworld last night and it is pretty damn good so far. I'll go with the Crown after that.
Westworld is phenomenal. I really love it. So many twists and turns that truly are quite unpredictable (though, you may see it coming it the very last second as they set up the reveal, but that's unavoidable.) But the show is great and I can't wait for season 2
Ive been waiting for someone to bring this show up! Best show on TV hands down. Insanely good.
I was a dedicated viewer until a season or so ago. I finally decided that there was no joy there and there never would be so I moved on.
Why would you be expecting joy out of this show?
I wasn't. I hadn't really thought about it. I enjoy these end of world kind of stories but usually there are moments of humor or happiness. TWD never went there and I finally noticed that that was why I wasn't looking forward to the show anymore.
Part of what attracts me to the topic is the idea of rebuilding society and TWD was just a prolonged death spiral that made The Road seem hopeful.
It's not a critique of the show. It's in the damn title. I just decided that it was no longer getting an hour of my life every week. (Two, really, because I'd also watch Talking Dead.)

White christmas was good but my favorite was actually national anthem. Perhaps I'm a sick fuck, but that episode conjurs up what appear to be universal feelings of unease in a way that is simply brilliant. You don't feel like a passive observer of the show by ten minutes in, and it keeps you there. Thats impressive directing, at least.
The next one that really got me was Be Right Back.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

National Anthem is one of the best imo as well. Be Right Back was so sad White Bear is my favorite. I also really liked Shut Up And Dance, Nosediving, and Hated in the Nation.

I stopped watching because the writing is awful.
They have too many season syndrome. I'm enjoying this season though, I quit watching at 5 then binged up to current episodes in the past months. As long as the show ends soon, I'll tune in Sunday nights after my beloved cats play.
