You're not alone. And I saw their 2012 set. Aaannnddd I was bored to tears.
As far as MMJ goes, they're one of the last bands/artists I got into in my 20s that is still active and tourin', so that boosts my opinion of them I'm sure. I'd rate Circuital as my least favorite, but it's not to say it's bad. Evil Urges would probably come in second or third along with The Waterfall. It Still Moves is probably my favorite of their studio releases.

Looks overall great and I'd love to hear "One Of These Days" live, but "Time" without David Gilmour is somethin' I don't want to hear.

Jelly of all the people who can swing Desert Trip and get single day tickets for $100 if not less and three-day weekend passes for $200 or less.
What sealed the deal for me was MMJ at Shaky Knees. That was one of the best sets I've seen all year without a doubt. I do wish I went to Atomic Bomb in '15 though.
At one point during the show my friend asked me if I was alright because I was just standing there with a blank face with my mouth sort of open.

My interest in seeing Roger Waters just tripled, and I already wanted to see him pretty badly. There are very few headliners where I know just about every song they play (Macca and Mumford are the only two who come to mind, and I loved them both), so this would be great. I don't listen to Pink Floyd that much, but this makes me remember how goddamn great they were.
Edit: And Kanye. Didn't love his set as much though.

Both songs are catchy as hell. I didn't like Star Boy at first but it kinda grew on me... Although the radio keeps playing it every time I am in the car and I am sure in a week I'll be sick of it.
That Roger Waters' setlist is perfect. Bonnaroo's never booked him, 2017 is the year they have to do it. Even though it would be weird seeing some other guy not named David Gilmour rip that solo in Time. He fits that role of the headliner that would blow skeptical people away enough to come back to the farm, regardless if they book KoL and The Weeknd.

Coldplay made a post on Instagram that basically confirms they're doing shows in 2017. They didn't touch on a lot of the US this year and I don't think they did any shows in the southeast. Coldplay - Arcade Fire - Some Form of Neil Young - Chance the Rapper
Edit: the font has flags in it and the US isn't one but at least they're active
Actually digging this a lot. He said the new album was inspired by Prince, Talking Heads, and The Smiths. You can def hear the Prince influence in this track.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess the lyrics are about doing drugs and having sex.

Doing drugs and having sex and feeling kind of sad about it for some reason.
new Metallica song Moth into Flames is great. WTF happened? Metallica is back!
Also, check this shit out. Dude played Hardwired using tone from 1st 5 albums.
heard this again on the radio this morning. I was going to come in and say again that I think we could do a lose worse than getting Metallica as one of the headliners. Their new songs, thus far, have been really solid.
After listening to the Bon Iver album, the only thing stopping me from crying knowing he won't be at Roo is the decent chance he is at Coachella.
Easily my least favorite Bon Iver album, but he's never an act that I'd like to see at a festival. I really can't imagine him translating this new material live very well, considering he;s posting up behind a laptop/synth rig for most of the show. I think a headlining tour in theaters would be much more satisfying as a fan.

Yeah, but in that Coldplay IG post, there's a bunch of flags super-imposed in 2017 and the US' ain't among them. And they played pretty much everywhere this year (2 shows each at Met Life Stadium, Soldier Field, and the Rose Bowl, and other massive stadiums in Gillette, The Linc, AT&T Stadium, and Levi's Stadium, as well as a bunch of scattered arena shows). Yeah, the tour wasn't even two months long, but they were really well saturated in the states.

Interesting. I love it. I think it's a great progression as far as a new sound. From what I heard, the festival performance of the album was fantastic. The Fallon performance of 8 (circle) was also awesome. I will say though, it would need to be a late night show and on a stage where there is no chance of sound bleed.
What do we think the possibility of an EDM pre-HL would be? Like Major Lazer > The Weeknd. Just my way of finding a way where they can book more than 1 big electronic artist but LN Which isn't dominated by EDM both nights

As long as they do it so that they're late enough for it to be dark, I could def see them doing that.

I could see Flume in that spot. He was the pre-headliner before LCD. He doesn't have to be late night for his set to count, Major Lazer definitely needs a late night atmosphere.
