Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I obviously wouldn't bet on most of this, but in my opinion I think this is at least comparable to the 2014 lineup.
2014 lineup was great not only because of how many great artists there were, but because of how many of those had never played Roo before, or at least not in quite a long time. The problem with this mock is just how many of the acts are repeats.
Roo needs some fresh blood, but not the 100k views on Youtube kind. They need quality acts that haven't played in the past three years, which you'd think wouldn't be so hard to fill.
I want them to have a killer super jam with major names like in 14. I think that the Super Jam is what really put Bonnaroo in its own league for me when I first started going to festivals. And while this year's had cool artists, I didn't think wow I could get to see Miguel play with Kamasi Washington like I did think Wow I can see Skrillex play with Robby Krieger, Matt Schulz and a couple other artists of significance play a Doors song
I feel like that Superjam gets pretty underrated. I was originally planning on going to Frank Ocean until they announced the Superjam lineup. I figured I'd just wait to see Frank because surely he'd be dropping a new album soon and touring on it...silly me. But that was one of the craziest Superjams ever. I loved the excitement of having no idea what to expect, and having everyone from Robby Krieger to ASAP Ferg to Mickey Hart to Damien Marley to Matt Schulz to Lauren Hill...that was an experience I might not ever see again. That was probably the only superjam where everyone was moshing also. I remember the mass amounts of people jumping together for the first few songs and then feeling like I was going to get crushed to death during ASAP Ferg. I've never been so worn out in my life. I lost my voice the next morning.
Skrillex Superjam is in my top five Roo shows ever. Definitely some hiccups in running through things smoothly, which is probably normal for something like this, but you can tell the guy put a ton of effort into making something special instead of just throwing some people on instruments and playing some soul classics.
Break on Through/Pump up the Jam/Lauryn Hill were all amazing moments.

I really think next year will be the first time there's no old fogey closing it out. RHCP could easily get the Pearl Jam slot, Arcade Fire as the alt act, and flavor of the month The Weeknd or the they're from TN slot...Kings of Leon.
Friday: RHCP
Saturday: Kings of Leon
Sunday: Arcade Fire
They don't want people to leave early on Sun, so I don't see them having KOL close out unless they have Lorde on which or something like that. Or even Flume close out which during KOL. Arcade Fire closing out Roo would be one of those moments that people would remember, and leave a lasting impression for 2018.

I'd like to reintroduce Gaga into the conversation. Unlike other big pop names, her popularity has (possibly?) decreased over the past few years, so she might actually have incentive to do a bunch of multi-genre festival dates to remind everyone of who she is.
Personally I think she'd be a fantastic fit at Bonnaroo, just a super weird dance party in the What field, and way more interesting a booking then whatever rock band bonnaroo can grab.

I was for Lady Gaga headlining but I do not like her new album whatsoeever so I'm fairly against it now. Also, Bruno would be a #2 (#1 at a reach), right?

Haven't listened to the album yet but I thought the singles were extremely underwhelming.

Yeah the album is a dud. Which makes her Super Bowl gig kind of awkward. I still wouldn't mind her at Roo, but if the album was better I'd be pretty pumped if they booked her

Again, I know this is unpopular, but that 4-day gap in Waters schedule can easily mean a stripped down set, like Newport, on Saturday . To save Bonnaroo...
Waters / Arcade Fire / KOL / Chance the Rapper
Fri : Kol / Chance (ala 2009 Beasties/David)
Sat : Waters
Sun : Arcade Fire
Going to get shot down on here, but I still think it can happen.
