She's already headlined big festivals (Glastonbury, Made in America). Most people against the idea just don't want that type of pop show at their festivals. Or because her crowd will ruin any other act playing in front of her on the same stage.
For those that have seen her on this tour: Any recommendations on where in the stadium is a good spot to get tickets? If she spends a lot of time on the catwalk or middle of the floor stage, I might try for those. Thanks
She spends more time on the middle of the floor stage than I was expecting. Maybe like 30% of the time? The catwalk would be cool too, but she mostly just used it to get to/from the middle stage. I would recommend the seats that face the main stage when you're looking AT the middle floor stage (if that makes sense... the ones "behind" it, in relation to the main stage).

Found this as a top comment on Reddit for a thread asking Why people like Beyonce so much/what's so special about her. I figured this would be a good place to put it for the next time people on here are wondering what the big deal is or why she's so well-liked:
In my view, it's the aggregate of her voice, ability to reinvent her music to a certain extent over the years, including this new-found (or -generated) way of releasing her visual albums, her [hot and ever-changing] looks and her ability to work very very hard.
I have been to her concert and what amazed me was that even though this was in a location which usually would not be regarded as a primary location for US artists and many of them have given lousy performances, including Madonna, for example (because "these people will buy the tickets anyway"), she gave 100% percent of her performance and that deserves a lot of praise and respect.
Another thing that contributes to this is that she has not yet made any single wrong step so far: she's been singing and performing and working hard since a little kid, her dad was her manager and her mom - her stylist, when she started having difficulties with dad as the manager, she replaced him without any scandals, she has this equal mogul husband with whom she has a family, but not lists of ex-celebrity boyfriends and husbands like many other No.1 female performers do (Britney Spears, J.Lo, etc.), no rumours are flying around her being drunk, on drugs, inapproriate bahviour, etc., she and Jay-Z are friends with the Obamas. She's a great role model for anyone out there, and she's never implicated it's easily achieved.
I don't understand how she can be compared to the Kardashian sisters which have not worked a single day in their life.
I would actually say she is more of a 21st century Tina Turner with more appeal for the younger generations.
I would compare her more to Michael Jackson in star power/talent. Both are great at singing and dancing and both have hits that range a lot of genres. I think she has a ton of (deserved) bandwagon fans but her recent album made a fan of me. The only song on it I didn't like was Daddy Lessons. Not my thing but I respect the fact that she made it
So it looks like there's just no openers for the next batch of shows?
i remember getting an email a while ago saying that she would have a "special guest" opening the pittsburgh show, but haven't heard anything about it since. are you going tomorrow?!

Yeah, I am! I also had gotten an email about there being a special guest but I also got an email with another updated set time that was 30 minutes earlier, so I just assumed that Beyoncé would be doing the show early without an opener. After doing some digging on Twitter, though, I found out that the opener was a local Edmonton DJ so I'm assuming that local DJs are just going to open the next few shows. I guess I'll know by tomorrow!
There's a weather delay currently happening. I'm drinking an overpriced Miller Lite in the world's sweatiest hallway. I'm really glad I got here early though to see DJ Drama show up 45 minutes late and play 45 seconds of "Panda".
Edit: this makes me sound rally unnecessarily bitter so I would just like to let everyone know that I was, in fact, having fun. I hope everyone else is having fun or having a relaxing evening tonight, too.
Standard whining about overpriced stadium beers aside, the show was of course great. Apparently DJ Drama brought out Wiz Khalifa and Jeremih, which I had no idea until now because my view of his setup was blocked by a massive speaker. So, that's cool. I guess my only complaint about Beyoncé's set was that her dancers weren't really doing much additional choreography in addition to what Beyoncé was doing, but that's pretty minor. Some more notes about the show below:
-The monolithic video screens were really cool and a very unique way of displaying the live footage of Beyoncé performing rather than just having only the screens on the side or behind her. I appreciated that some of the video components were overlaid with the live footage of Beyoncé performing in addition to the video interludes. -That being said, the water section during the final part of the performance really was the coolest thing. The choreography during that part was especially impressive. -There were also some acrobatic components during two of the interludes that was really cool. And kind of harrowing since it wasn't obvious where the dancer's harness was. -I think my favorite part of the show was "1+1" into a cover of "The Beautiful Ones". It was just Beyoncé in the middle of the stage with no other visual effects but she was putting so much emotion into the performance it would have been impossible to focus on anything else.
when you mentioned local djs opening, my first thought was local radio personality turned wiz khalifa hype man dj bonics. i guess that's looking more likely now. also looking more likely, eating nachos and spending more time in the parking lot with wannaberoo'ing and ncbst3. ONE MORE WEEK!

Nachos! The weather is looking good for hanging out and pre-gaming/eating. We're in gold lot 1! Should I fly a flag?

1. I really liked the focus on her newer material and the fact that Destiny's Child stuff was condensed into medleys. Everything from Lemonade was fucking amazing.
2. Like Shuck mentioned, the water-y Bey stage was the coolest part of the night and a great way to end it. Quite jealous of the people in that section who got baptized by it lol
3. I've never seen that many women/girls at once- was really inspiring to see all the younger faces when Bey gave her "you can do anything speech"
4. Taking my fiance as a surprise is probably the smartest move I've done. Brownie points: 100000000000
