It is hard to believe that nearly 20 years have passed since our company began. With many talented bands coming through the Washington D.C. and Baltimore area, Tim Walther and I (Junipa Contento-Süslü) took it upon ourselves to begin a promotion and production company to focus on and heighten the awareness of a relatively new and burgeoning genre of music. Our love for this scene plus hard work and dedication led us to produce club shows and ultimately camp-out music festivals showcasing a weekend of the hottest touring bands, with the flagship event being the All Good Music Festival & Campout commencing in 1997.
We felt it was important to create an annual destination where like-minded fans could share and experience in the fusion of music art and camping within a safe and supportive community. We wanted people to come away transformed, just as this rise of musical rhapsody had transformed us. From humble beginnings at Wilmer's Park to the magic and life changing experiences of Marvin's Mountaintop we are forever grateful for the opportunity to spearhead and cultivate All Good Festival with beautiful landscapes, ground-breaking artists, the best supporting crew in the industry and undoubtedly the most kind and avid fans.
With that said and with a heavy heart we are announcing today that we are retiring the All Good Music Festival and Campout. We want to thank each of you for your support of live music, your love for our community and for sharing and creating everlasting All Good memories. This is not an end to the musical journey we are on, but the turning of a page sparking a new course for presenting the music we love.
Please stay tuned for the unveiling of the two-day All Good Presents celebration of music, community and arts set to take place on July 9 and 10 at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Meanwhile check out the multitude of All Good Presents club shows, featuring established and emerging touring acts at your favorite venues such as; 9:30 Club, Rams Head Live, Gypsy Sally's, The 8x10, The Hamilton and more.
Yeah, I loved 2013. It was missing the quality food, but I went with some vets and we were cooking prime steaks, chicken adobo, & meatballs & spaghetti anyhow for dinners. Would've loved to have gone when it was at Marvin's.

I was lucky enough to go to three of the years it was held on Marvin's Mountaintop. In those three years, I honestly can't tell you how much insane stuff I witnessed. A few quick memories: - One afternoon on Shakedown I saw the Philly nitrous mafia beat down a guy who ratted them out to security. It was savage, but it also reflected the fest's anything-goes/international waters vibe in the mid 2000s. I remember falling to sleep one night and waking up to discover the grass around my tent and EZ-Up had been replaced by balloons. Somehow, I slept right through the commotion. - One night I came back to my tent around 4 a.m. and noticed it was no longer there. Looking more closely, I noticed it had been knocked to the ground. Looking even more closely, I noticed someone had fallen into it, passed out, and wrapped themselves up in it to stay warm (It could get cold on that mountain at night). - Seeing Umphrey's McGee's light show through the dense, soup-like fog that settled atop the mountain during their late-night performance in 2009. You literally could not see 20 feet in front of you. I was feeling great, like Tony the Tiger "Great," so it heightened the quirky sights and sounds. - Watching the Flaming Lips blow hippie minds during their post-Claypool headlining set in 2005. That was a time when jam-band fests were still pretty segregated, from a musical perspective, and the FLips hit the crowd with all their freak-out glory, not holding back any stops. I also discovered Bassnectar at All Good, back when he was still coming up. He dropped a Radiohead "National Anthem" remix, and I was hooked. I honestly could go on and on and on. I really loved that place. The only thing I didn't love was the freaking drive into the place on Thursday.

Only caught it the two years it was held at Legend Valley, but it will always hold a special place in my heart. All Good 2012 was my introduction to the Jam scene and definitely altered my tastes in music. 2013 may be my favorite all time festival experience (the music, atmosphere, festival crew). Sad to see it go away.
Yea, I also only did 2012 and 2013 when it was at Legend Valley. It was my first big festival. Only fests I'd done before that were Hookahvilles (also held at LV) with maybe a few thousand people. Good times for sure.. The Allman Brothers are one of my favorite festival memories, albeit a very fuzzy one.
