The only festival in the world where Shovels & Rope would be billed above Regina Spektor. Other than the one they curated probably
So, if Regina closes out the Quad, does that mean that she is still billed lower?
This is where the actual position in the website lineup can be tricky. Just because they are listed higher, doesn't mean that they aren't playing in a larger spot.
For the first time in a while I looked at the lineup on the NFF website and seeing all of the bands listed made me say "Holy Hell how am I going to choose who to see"? Getting excited for July! mrpotatotrooper you are in the lead for most artists guessed on the Bingo cards so far!

Wondering if any bingo players had Mac DeMarco? He has a bit of a psychedelic folk rock sound. I'm still on the fence as to whether I'll get into his music. He seems to have a July gap in his schedule between Governor's Ball and Lollapalooza.
I'm Rhody local. Been going to festival since the late 80s. (On and off) But have been every year in a row for at least the last 12.
And even with that....my Bingo card was still sh*(t.
Wow you must have seen some great past sets having been to so many. It seems to be the thing to ask new folk here who their favorite past set were. What's yours?
Yes, even if it is technically the better spot (and that's where I think she'll be), she's still listed below them on the lineup.
I'd love for her to be Quad but there's no way Regina isn't playing the Fort Stage.
#2 for the day has always been pre-HL on the Fort, and Shovels & Rope were on the Fort last time and I think they'll stay there. Maybe I'm wrong though. I'd actually love for Regina to be on the fort so I could see her whole set before Fleet Foxes. If she closes out the Quad I'll probably only catch the beginning at best

I think I also disagree. Historic Quad closers: Edward Sharpe, Punch Brothers, Brandi Carlisle, Father John Misty, the Arcs, Watkins Family Hour w/ Fiona Apple, Andrew Bird, Kurt Vile, M. Ward, Shakey Graves
Fuck, this festival has been so good the last 7 years.

No one had Mac. I did add him as one of the extra artists though to make up the M.O.A.B (Mother of All Bingo-cards) Still not sure how well he would fit in.
Thile* I don't think so. The way I look at it is you included him as a solo set, not a Punch Bros. set. And I'm still not sure how to deal with them. Damn collabs...

What if they add Bela Fleck and the 2 of them have a set?
Not including myself, andyd17 has the most artists, but you beaker are closest to a bingo line.

Still no. I also considered Dave & Tim and Dave to be different, Justin Vernon and Bon Iver to be different, Seth and/or Scott and Avett Bros are different etc. There's a billion combinations of people that could be at Newport, so you've sorta got to be specific, which I know can be impossible. Although if it was Chris Thile & Friends, I would count that, I suppose.

If only my artists weren't all over the damn place lol. Looking forward to how the rest of this lineup will look.
