Not gonna bet on Gorillaz here. That would be getting my hopes up too much.
I do find the Sep 16 - Oct 22 gap in Metallica's Euro schedule to be suspicious. Combine with they hit Dallas, Houston and San Antonio in June on the N.A. tour, but not Austin - and with them playing C3's Lollapalooza in 2015. I will wager...
Metallica | Red Hot Chili Peppers | Chance the Rapper
The thing I love about ACL is that since it's the lone major fall festival, the lineup pool they have is always greater and more broad than the summer fests. Coachella has this advantage in the spring as well. We could potentially have any 6 out of
RHCP, Arcade Fire, Metallica, Gorillaz, Nine Inch Nails, QOTSA, Soundgarden, The Killers, Tribe, Chance, Frank, Gambino, Missy Elliott, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, Springsteen, Bjork, Odesza, Kaskade, Above and Beyond, Dj Snake, Empire of the Sun, Foster the People, alt J, The xx, Bon Iver, The National, The Shins, Travis Scott, Lorde, Lana, The Weeknd, anyone else im forgetting?
February 17, Sting at the Pageant April 9, Radiohead at Sprint Center April 14, John Mayer at Sprint Center April 21 - 23 Coachella May 12 Tom Petty at Scottrade May 19 - 21 Hangout Fest May 30 Roger Waters at Scottrade June 2 - 4 Governor's Ball June 5 Sigur Ros at Peabody June 14 Muse with 30 Seconds to Mars at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater
Spoon & The Shins new coheadlining tour dates pretty much lock them both in for ACL. Red Rocks on the 5th, huge gap then NOLA on the 17th. Still no other TX dates, which I assume will be all within their ACL shows.
