I still dont get it. It has got to be making money. They arent selling 20k tickets or something. The lineups are drawing as they hoped. Its a great location. It not like they are losing attendees outside of many of us oldies.

Yeah. Everyone involved has got to be lining their pockets. Maybe it's hassle issues with community demands or pushback behind the scenes?
I mean assuming the whole thing isn't cancelled altogether, I have zero issue with this. AEG is a great company as we can see with some of their other projects like Coachella, Panorama, etc. But they have done zero to improve the quality of Hangout's lineups. I remember how excited we all were when the announcement first happened in 2015. The lineups have gotten less appealing (at least to most on this board) every year since.
Which festival is AEG pulling the plug on? Is there a relationship between GV and AEG?
Local paper said Bonnaroo arrests were up from 37 to 47 this year. Most were drug related. Big concern about meth and use of fentanal and hazards to people. There were more traffic issues "in town". All in all, most folks would agree Bonnaroo 2017 was very successful. Plans are underway to expand the use of the Bonnaroo facilities. I would like to see an Americana, folk, or bluegrass festival there. Hopefully when the temperatures are cooler like last Octobet or early November.
I had a wonderful Father's Day with my son bar hopping in Nashville. Several of my friends were playing. Nashville is an amazing music town. Wonder Woman was a fun movie. I hope all the dad's out there have a great weekend. Headed out on the lake today.
edit..should have waited for Zaj to read my mind and give me the answer. So Bonnaroo is Live Nation? Anybody have a link that shows who runs what?

Livenation has a stake in a ton of fests now- Voodoo, ACL, Lolla, Roo and a bunch more.
AEG/Goldenvoice helps run Hangout, Coachella, Firefly, Panorama and others.

I 100% agree.
Loving all the Mondo Cozmo love on here. They took me by surprise at HO too and really I hope to see them again.
Chick I heard Dan Auerbach say in an interview last week that there are no Black Keys plans at this point.
We got a condo at the beach for a couple days next week through a realtor friend and just learned that it's at Island Winds West! Will be scoping it out for next year...

Id rather an Auerbach solo set than a blqck keys set. Their set in 2014? Left a lot to be desired. I also saw then at their free show in NOLA in 13? For the final four and it was very lack luster as well.
Theres just very few banda imo that can do the duet set up and make it work on the big stage.

I enjoyed Mondo Cozmo and Black Keys. I was on the front row. I didn't detect any let down. Only group that I thought struggled was DMB and they said Dave was ill. Would like to see them repeat.

How is the bomb factory? I'd have no chance of getting to Dallas realistically after Voodoo but I absolutely despiseLCD being booked at Circuit of the Americas.

Dang it Bob. Black Keys were horrible. Queens blew them out of the ocean. And no one wants Dave back. You have gotten better about broadening your horizons though. Don't backtrack on us!
I guess they could have been good from the rail. Out in the back they didn't do anything for me. I was somehow on top of some trailer (Budweiser maybe?) to the left of the stage and it just wasn't working for me.
Good from the rail...guess you had to be there. The company your with, the altitude you keep, and the state of mind your in definitely makes a difference.
Those $35 grass passes at Ascend for Buckingham-McVie in Nashville Friday night are talking to me even though we are expecting remnants of a tropical storm.
