Overcoats is a serious contender for my vote for the month. This album is really really fantastic. I did love Kenny, I know he will win by a landslide but... damn I can't get enough of Young.
Someone remind me of everything that came out this month. It's been a crazy month.
Everything? It's been a busy month. Today alone counted Thurston Moore, Fiest, Gorillaz, Young M.A. (if we're counting an EP), BNQT and Sylvan Esso. It's been like this for weeks on end.
The new Slowdive appeared in my Dropbox and I haven't listened to anything else. I'm playing catch up this weekend, honestly.

Listening to Feist now and it's winning. Sylvan Esso is good. Gorillaz is ok. Haven't got to Slowdive, Thurston or Lanegan yet. Really just trying to remind myself what I've listened to.

Don't get me started on Chelsea Light Moving either.
p I saw them two and a half times. Once I caught only oart of the set before moving to DIIV in another room. I enjoyed the fuck out of all those performances. I look forward to catching him with Steve Shelley on this tour, since I never caught Sonic Youth live.
Do it. That tour was pure fire last year. Plus, Meg Baird? It really doesn't/didn't get any better. I'm hoping for another show closer to me before I commit.
the physics house band - for anyone who likes Mars Volta when they aren't being too self-indulgent, check these guys out. (Rothric)
Thanks for this rec, listened to it several times already and really enjoy it. Can definitely feel the Volta influence in it. It's instrumental, but I can imagine Cedric wailing over a few of the songs.
