I just want to see Phil Collins before he's gone, and he really fits in the line of legends with hits after hits that everyone knows like Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Billy Joel. Roo being able to get reunions in the past makes me wish for a Genesis Reunion so I can get too see both Phil and Peter, but I know it's a dream at most. I did though just look up Genesis reunion and there are talks of it from a couple different sites. But I see that a lot with many bands I love. Wish we could get a good reunion, if not Genesis, give us Talking Heads or R.E.M.
I know I'll go back to sleep and keep dreaming. Wake me up if it does come true tho.

Genesis would be cool, although I don't know what you're talking about with Roo getting reunions in the past. Also if Genesis did reunite, they would not play Bonnaroo and Bonnaroo would not book them.
What would give you any reason whatsoever to hope for an REM reunion?
Just that they're younger than most of the other bands I want to reunite, so there's more time. And it seems like bands of that magnitude reunite more often than not, especially when there's no animosity between members and they're all alive. But given the guy that Michael Stipe is, I'd still put the odds it ever happens at comfortably below 50%

Not to dump on you but if that is what you consider having real hope then I definitely don't want you giving the halftime speech during the big game.

R.E.M. is the one I've got real hopes for
didn't they get the police to reunite and play? I'm not sure if they were touring as well, but I thought it was said on here before that it was a reunion or something. Sorry if I used the wrong words. But also they did reunite Oysterhead for a one off show, and they got the meters to play with Dr. John which hadn't happened in 5 years. I also thought they reunited Buffalo Springfield just for Roo? Also I guess other bands that I was thing about like Ween and LCD don't really count cause Roo wasn't the only place they performed. Just seems like Roo likes to go after bands who just got back together. If I'm wrong on anything correct me please.

The Police were on a reunion tour that played 151 shows.
Buffalo Springfield was originally expected to play about thirty shows but Neil kinda bailed on the project and they ended up playing seven.

Maybe Oysterhead was a unique thing but that's a much more niche booking involving two Roo fixtures.
I see, I didn't know how many shows those two played. And I'm sure if we were to get any certain band that's doing a reunion, it wouldn't be a one off show that only happens at Roo. But Roo does seem to have the power to make it a spot that they and maybe a few other fests could get on their tour.

I wonder how much they try to go for that. They don't seem to get as many of those acts as I think that they should. I don't know if they're just not interested or if they get turned down, maybe for Euro fests?

yeah they defiantly don't seem interested anymore by the look of it. I just want a unique awesome booking. But we all know that's to much to ask from Bonnaroo 😂
LCD took advantage so soon, I don't even know where they would be placed next time around. They Phoenixed themselves.
Every year Daft Punk remains stagnant, their stock only grows. Something can be said for those artists who take long breaks in between albums. Dr. Dre for instance has had decades pass.

That's all well and good but nobody is avoiding going to these shows to avoid having their memories of the band being tainted. The burden is ultimately on the band to stand firm in the face of festival organizers' checkbooks.
How would people feel if Black Eyed Peas got booked, in pretty sure they aren't together. But they would be fun in my opinion. Always love there older stuff and Elephunk.

That would be laughably bad. I'm not sure if people are nostalgic over Black Eyed Peas. They're like the Smashmouth of Hip Hop. However, I do look forward to the "Let's Get it Started" stampede into the What Stage every year.
The R.E.M. talk has me excited but theres probably zero chance that happens. Really hoping they book Nine Inch Nails for another late night show...either give them the Deadmau5 slot on What or late night on Which again.
Trent did a Q&A before Riot Fest last week and he mentioned they'd be playing select shows in 2018.
NIN was so damn good at Riot Fest, 3rd time I've seen them now. I imagine Trent will do a bigger production next year after all of the EPs are out which will be that much better. They never, ever disappoint. I'd rather see them on the What but if they keep the scaled down production (hopefully not), they could def play Which.
Fleetwood Mac | Jay-Z | NIN would get me back to the farm easily. 3 headliners from completely diff genres, hitting diff demos. Now idk how bad they'd f up the undercard but that'd be a fantastic start for my personal preferences.

Evidence from the past two years suggests they would fuck the undercard all to hell.
