On my way back to Nashville from July 4th weekend in the Cumberland Mountains we drove down Bushy Branch Road right through the Bonnaroo farm. It was so weird to see the place empty and the grass grown back up. They still had fences up so we couldnt get into the section where Centeroo and the stages were, but we could see the big red Bonnaroo arch sticking up out of the field. There were tons of those trash barrels stacked up and a bunch of garbage trucks near Centeroo, but the whole place was cleaned up. It almost looked like a normal farm except you could still see where the various streets and entrances were because of all the dried up mud and car tracks. Pretty cool. Just thought I'd share.
That was cool -- thank for sharing. It's funny thinking about those garbage cans just piled up sitting there until next June.
Was the huge stage still up and the Bonnaroo neon? Did anyone else think that neon was probably the coolest sign that you've ever seen? The glow from a distance was out of this world.
Yeah, same here. I miss the music. I go to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and there is no great live music around here. I guess I could go to Indy, but the price of gas and all that, you know? Oh well. I have a boot of the MMJ show that just finished downloading.
No, the stages were gone(and, yes that sign was really cool, especially before and during The Dead with all the lightning and rain). All we could really see were the arch and the trash cans. We'll be heading back through there in a month or so and we're going to try and snoop around a little bit. I be sure and post a thread about it here.
