A 2nd Beyonce/Jay-Z show at FedEx Field has been added for Friday, July 27.
really really kicking myself for not buying AM tickets when they came out, to stubhub ill have to go. But Beyonce and AM in the same weekend is about as good of a musical weekend as it gets
I heard all AM tickets have to match the name of the purchaser, FWIW.
yeah they say that at every The Anthem show and I have literally never seen it enforced. Wasnt enforced for the shows/tours that did credit card entry across the country either like Bon Iver. Nor was it enforced for the first night of Foo Fighters
I heard all AM tickets have to match the name of the purchaser, FWIW.
That only applies to the “Super excellent seats”, if you show up with your name not on the ticket they will let you come in as GA, but they confiscate the ticket and you aren’t allowed to use the assigned seat.

Ah, for some reason I thought that the band was making even the GA tickets assigned by name, given that the venue is smaller than the others on their tour.

The Arctic Monkeys show is listed as all tickets non transferable. I went to another show that had that (Qotsa maybe?) and they didn’t check, but that’s what it says for this show.

Bon Iver and Foo Fighters was also like this and they didn’t check names. Maybe I’ll get F’ed by this but I plan on purchasing on the secondary for this show

The big issue to worry about is the no resale rule affecting ticket supply. Otherwise ...

Anybody have any idea when DC101 will announce their Kerfuffle lineup for this year? I'm surprised we haven't heard anything yet since it is almost April and I thought we would've heard something by now. I think it's happening though since they asked people on Facebook in January who they want to see so who knows. Maybe it is later than usual this year?

I tweeted “ Kerfuffle Please” to them the other day and they replied “ nothing yet”. XL102 just announced their big field day with AWOL and Dashboard On 6/23. If I’m not mistaken The past couple years they taken place the same weekend as Kerfuffle so wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on Sun 24th.
GAS (aka Wolfgang Voigt) at Sixth & I on Sunday March 25th, which is a perfect venue for the type of ambient music he'll be performing. Don't miss this.
Not sure if anybody else was planning on attending GAS on Sunday, but this got moved to Union Stage for a 2pm matinee show on the same day. Would have preferred Sixth & I, but the timing for this works out too.

I commented on a recent Facebook post and they said "Be patient!". I know Dashboard plays The Fillmore on the 31st. Maybe they are waiting for that to happen before announcing it? I wonder who the headliner will be.

Japandroids are playing the Rock & Roll Hotel on Friday, July 20th.
Hell yea, I've been waiting for them to add DC/MD dates. Never been to RocknRoll Hotel but I'll be there unless they add a Baltimore or Merriweather date.

Daniel Caesar has been announced as George Mason’s headlining artist for their Mason Day on Friday, April 27th. Tickets are $15.
I think my favorite Mason Day was when they had Naughty By Nature and Bone Thugs n Harmony. That or when they had Sev, Jimmies Chicken Shack and 2 Skinnee J's. Didn't they used to be free? Haven't thought about this event in years

It’s free for all Mason students, staff, and faculty with a valid Mason ID, and $15 for the general public. This is the best act they’ve had in some time.

This show has been out there for a minute but I just noticed, Tale of Us is doing a warehouse party on 4/13.
I believe this is the third warehouse party put on by the club Flash, has anyone been before? I'm curious how it compares to the ROAM or Sequence warehouse parties which are usually a blast. Pictures of the venue look good but I've never made it. Probably won't make this one either as I'm checking out Maya Jane Coles and Juana at Uhall the following night.

Flash has done warehouse events before. I’d imagine they’ll use one of the same two spaces ROAM uses but who knows.

By the way, I checked out Union Stage for the first time this weekend. The sound system was stellar, but it was freezing inside. Even with a winter jacket on, I was still cold. Hope that changes for the future.
