I tried some mochi from Whole Foods earlier. I had one each of strawberry, coffee, and melon. It was better than I was expecting but it won’t be taking the place of B&J anytime soon.
I’m sorry, but I failed you guys. Due to a delayed flight, longer than anticipated subway rides, a blizzard (ok it felt like one to me), and etc etc, I did not get to half of what I wanted to do in NYC. So needless to say, I never made it to this establishment in the dead of winter to demand my free cream. I’m sure the ice cream barrista would have been more than happy to comply, considering our valid claim. Next time I plan on coming in the spring and will try again. This winter stuff is bullshit.
had a big ass bowl of salted caramel ice cream last night to celebrate christmas eve.
Blue Bunny has salted caramel pretzel ice cream bites. They are heaven. Basically individually wrapped, three bite sized ice cream rounds with salted caramel and pretzels covered in chocolate...Holy hell. I ate the whole bag.

Just tried this one out tonight. Very solid. Will be adding it to my B&J repertoire
I'm picturing one of those refrigerators from the early 90s west coast hip hop music videos filled with 40oz but instead it's just the best flavors of B&J. and everytime you open it a cool fog appears and Dre Day starts playing.

I, like TRANTER INDUSTRIES, think strawberry ice cream is the best ice cream flavor. PBut really only from places like marble slab or cold stone (or homemade) where they mix fresh strawberries into the cream. When the strawberries are pre-mixed in the ice cream like you get at the store or dipped from many ice cream shops, the strawberries are frozen inside the cream, and this messes with the cellular structure of the fruit and changes the texture. I also really enjoy peach and pineapple ice cream, under the same conditions.
Or just throw the plain vanilla on some warm fruit pie.
The blizzard of the month at DQ is excellent. I typically get a strawberry sundae when we go... This is basically a strawberry sundae, but blended with chocolate chunks in it.

Pretty much any fruit ice cream is great. I really don’t mind the frozen strawberries but I do prefer fresh ones.
I am not getting updates from this thread anymore...UGH. I love all ice cream, but I think strawberry is better when you have chocolate it in (ice cream or chips/chunks/pieces).

When we move, there will be a Cold Stone near our house. I’m very excite.

The closest one to me is in Metairie (which is outer New Orleans suburban, I am all the way on the other side of the city). I don't ever drive all the way out there and Veteran's the street is on is a hot mess. Saying all that, I have never had Cold Stone before because of those reasons.

I actually don’t remember if I’ve ever had Cold Stone. We had a Marble Slab near us in my second ever apartment (so like 19 years ago), and we would go to it sometimes even after we moved, but I’ve never really lived near a Cold Stone, and it’s not something I think to go out of my way for, so I’m excited to be close to one now. Hopefully, it will be a huge disappointment and I’ll never want to go back.

We only have Baskin Robbins near me...and I'll take it.
