Just realized Mount Eerie has only been on one of these lists so far
Will definitely end up high on mine, what a heartbreaking record.
I can get what these magazines/reviewers whatever are thinking or doing with not including them, but for me an artist/band should not be punished for one person's actions from that same band. Heck, there are a lot of shitty people in the music business (and I'm not trying to say that what that guy did isn't important or shouldn't be brought up) But I mean I can enjoy a The Smiths/Morrissey record even though Morrissey's a jerk (which probably isn't very comparable, I know, I'm just making an example idek)

Yeah...Personally, I have been a fan for a long time and believe Science Fiction was the best album of the year. Still is in my opinion and if not the best I can't imagine it is not in the top 50 for most. There should be a disclaimer before each list for this haha
Top 10: 1. Lorde 2. Kendrick Lamar 3. Ryan Adams 4. Vince Staples 5. Slowdive 6. St. Vincent 7. SZA 8. Mount Eerie 9. Spoon 10. Smino
Lorde? Really? That’s a pretty generic group of names, COS.
I will say the majority of these lists suit the publication quite well.
CoS' attempt at "edginess" was including 5 film scores and snubbing Bjork, Tyler, Big Thief, and FJM. I love Ryan Adams but that album probably won't make my top 50

I've highlighted your highlights. If you don't at least include Tyler and FJM in your TOP FIFTY, then your list is dead to me.
1. Jay Som 2. Kendrick 3. Father John Misty 4. Run the Jewels 5. Courtney Barnett & Kurt Vile 6. Sheer Mag 7. Alvvays 8. LCD Soundsystem 9. Mount Eerie 10. Sampha
