As someone with no desire to see more than a little bit of Gambino, these Friday mocks aren’t really doing it for me. Hopefully Nina Kraviz gets a closing spot or something.
Friday is turning into the weakest day for me. Lots of stuff in the “they seem cool I’d like to check them out” bucket but not a lot of stuff I’m really fired up for.
Their fees push that price back above face, though. AMEX is currently still cheapest.
Best bet is to monitor eBay imo.
Does eBay offer buyer protection like Stubhub does, or could the seller send you the wristbands, then claim they were lost and get replacements and leave you SOL?

I think Stubhub is the only one that guarantees you'll get a wristband. As far as I know ebay and vivid seats just offer you their standard buyer protection.
When do they drop the map? Being a first timer I like getting an idea the schedule for the day but if some stages are far apart I'm not going to realistically split them. I can't imagine any of them are THAT far apart but I figure it should be next month some time right?

just look at last years map, it's gonna be pretty similar, at least the bigger stages. Some of them are pretty far apart.

Map comes out at the last minute. Week of the fest, roughly. I haven’t been since they expanded the fest/grounds so I’m not the best source for this, but back then you could split pretty much anything. I’m sure walk times are longer now, but splits are still reasonably possible. It’s nothing like Lolla.
Going off this and no personal experience, getting in and out of the Sonora and Mojave could be a little tricky, crowd flow wise, but moving the between the other tents would be no problem.

That's what I was looking at too when comparing the map from last year. Going from Mojave to Sonora and then over to the Main/Outdoor stages may take a little hustle/planning ahead. Most of the Sahara acts aren't my cup of tea so not having to venture that far away from the Main/Outdoor is nice I guess.
I'm anxious to go like right this second. It's still going to be in the 20's in Chicago two weeks from now. This fest is my light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope they open a more direct path between the Beer Barn and Sonora this year. It was frustrating having to walk around the Central Market and that empty VIP area every time.
That empty VIP area was awesome but totally useless. I loved it because there were literally never more than 20 people in there at any given time I was in there. But methinks that GV will reorganize it because of that.

I’m pretty sure they had to change one of the VIP beer garden locations last minute and I think that was the one if I’m not mistaken. I wouldn’t be shocked if it changed again this year.

Yes. Was originally advertised as being close to the Sahara and then changed with weeks to go. It was super lame compared to the other two VIP areas and was a ghost town.
