I think it works out well to keep the fan demographics apart of older jam hippies of Peach vs the younger millenial wooks of Bisco. I see what you're saying though, it'll look like what Wakarusa used to put on.
I've fallen a little out of the electronic scene. How is this lineup overall?
i don't know all the artists, but from the ones i do know i'll cast a wide net and say it's Electric Forest-type wook EDM. Funky dancey dark type stuff, with a few skrillex-y and techhouse-y type acts thrown in there. The only outright bad act I see is Illenium, who is banal soulless pop EDM.
EDIT: but to directly answer your question it is a fine collection of electronic artists for Bisco fans, but not much that is super interesting or progressive.

Overall? Pretty good. Kung Fu is on there, and they rule as well as being elite musicians. Naughty Professor is a pretty great new jazz band. We see Tauk every time they come through town. Every Lotus show I’ve ever seen has been great. I’ll see Sound Tribe over almost any act these days. Flooizes with the horn guys out of Atlanta should be good. Magic Beans are a pretty cool Colorado band we met here in town a few years ago and have seen a few times. Sunsquabi is a good up and coming jamtronica act.
I actually disagree with the comparison to last year and think this year’s lineup is better. For the electronic, it’s definitely dub heavy with Bassnectar, Excision, 12th Planet, Liquid Stranger, Boogir T and Yhetti. But they also have Tipper who I don’t think ever plays the same set and is I think one of the best producers there is. And you have Jazzy Jeff who will probably spin dancier stuff and hip hop. I like Ghostface. And I agree with HF and PJ on Illenium. I don’t get it either and don’t see any reason why he has achieved the level he has. It just all seems like simple shit rooted in soft pop. Buku tweeted out yesterday they were giving him a sunset set to play Awake live. That’s a facepalm for me after seeing Tycho get one of those two slots on the MS River last year.

Catering to the base. You should have seen the assortment of buzzes at the Lettuce show last night. I was lost just trying to figure out what different shit mfers were on. Trippers, rollers, bumpers, shit I have no idea which were probably research chemicals. Idk.
Schedule is out on the app. All in all pretty great with the major exception of Tipper vs Frequent. That stings but oh well.

Some of my kids' friends are going. It's a bit too far for me to roll up there for a festival. But I heard that Lotus and Sunsquabi were doing a combined show in VIP. That should be excellent. Hopefully the Biscuits stream all 6 of their sets again this year. I'll watch as many as I can.

On Thursday...scheduled to perform from 11 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. ET. The Disco Biscuits return to the stage on Friday at 6 p.m. ET and are also slated to begin their second set of the evening at 10 p.m. ET. Saturday features a total of three Disco Biscuits sets with start times scheduled for 5:15 p.m., 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. ET.
Yeah. That was a pretty abstract set in parts. You never know when they have 6 sets how it's going to go. There were a couple of vocal tunes, but there was a lot of experimental shit. The ending of Pink Floyd's Run like Hell was great though I've seen them play that several times before. Looking forward to tonight's shows.
Edit 2 - Set 3 is fucking outstanding.
Edit 3 - Set 4 is spin the wheel. Looks like about 12 possibilities, and each time one comes off, a new one comes on. db
