All my friends (zing!) with whom I usually go to events like the one tomorrow night at Knockdown have bailed on me, and it's KILLING me, because I could really stand to dance myself clean, but my social anxiety is just enough of a thing that going to something like that alone is beyond my comfort zone. It sounds like it's going to be a blast.

Anyone happen to know the BOGO 50% off code for the Shakey/Dr. Dog/Liz Cooper show on Sunday night at Pier 17?
Wish I knew and wish I could do this. Mom's bday that day so going out to dinner. Otherwise I'd jump on this in a second. Dr. Dog is a favorite of mine and Liz Cooper destroyed her Newport folk set.

Joanna Newsom put on a truly magical performance last night and Bjork showing up in the crowd was the cherry on the top. Still salty that I missed her show at the Shed earlier this year.

Wow, been on these boards for a while now and haven't stumbled upon this thread. Anyways, that free Sunflower Bean show last week was incredible and I'm probably gonna snag a ticket this week for Bombay Bicycle Club at Brooklyn Steel next month.
I bought a ticket for Friendly Fires next Tuesday (9/24) at Elsewhere and turns out I'll be travelling to the West Coast for work next week, so I won't be able to go! Is anyone on here interested/where's a good place for me to post to sell my ticket besides the Facebook event for it?

So bummed I missed this. According to his ig stories Robin Pecknold was at a couple of these shows as well

James Murphy b2b Black Madonna was amazing on friday.
Fuck yes it was! Their chemistry was incredible. They hadnt even met before earlier that day and didnt rehearse at all, just played some records they both liked for 7 straight hours.

Whoa, Massive Attack is doing a DJ set at Webster Hall on 9/28 at 11 PM. If I manage to hit that up after seeing Stereolab at Brooklyn Steel earlier that night, I think I might actually time travel back to the '90s.

Jeeezz I just got my She & Him tickets. Over $100 each.
Luckily I got GA pit, but it looks like every ticket in the theater is the same price. Would be pissed to be spending the same amount in the balconies.
