Another gem off of The National's upcoming album "I Am Easy To Find." This track and video is so immersive - love the piano work and vocal tracks on it. Check it, Hairpin Turns:
MorMor just released his new EP, Some Place Else, and it shows how his sound is continuing to evolve...A little bit of soul, indie pop/rock. Here's one of my favorite tracks from the release:
So excited to see them Wednesday. Plus opening the show with Aenima > The Pot > Parabola is pretty damn great too.
I'll be there at the Lousiville date as well! Taking my brother as a birthday surprise... he knows we're doing something out of town but no specifics, and this is his favorite band so I'm expecting a full freakout and I'm so excited

Jamtronica pioneers STS9 released video recorded live in the studio featuring the song “Life’s Sweet Breath.” The new single comes in honor of multi-instrumentalist Kofi Burbridge and filmmaker James Dahl, both of whom died earlier this year.
“’Life’s Sweet Breath is a song about the people we love and the bittersweet mystery of being alive,” reads a note from STS9. “We recorded it to pay tribute to our brothers Kofi Burbridge and James Dahl who we miss dearly.” Watch Tribe record “Life’s Sweet Breath” in the studio thanks to Neil Roche Media:
I'm definitely not a music industry expert, but he gives the impression it's pretty much been done for a while, and it seems insane to me that he'd just sit on it for an entire year while all the hype he had around This is America came and went
Hatchie dropping another great track from their upcoming album Keepsake (out June 21st)...Such a shame I missed them when they came through SoCal last month. They definitely have the potential to blow up soon enough. Anyways I highly recommend them for fans of bands such as Alvvays, Wolf Alice, Cranberries, and so forth:
The latest super chill dazed out jam by Men I Trust...Here's hoping they get around to releasing their new album (supposedly titled Oncle Jazz) asap, would be perfect to relax to on summer nights.

I might actually go to the Sunn O))) show in Philly just to experience something new. I figure that if Rummy 500 can handle it I can too. Also I was looking into their new album and it was described as
Sonic cosmoses, flashes of abstract colour (synthetic and objective) and themes emerged from the mastered depths of saturation and circuits between the two players and their mountains of gear. Themes developed in terms of brightness and energy, while visionary cues pointed toward subconscious areas of practice and the pair realised they were exploring other zones of consciousness via sound/time and sound/energy manipulation.
lol WHAT
*pops in from the abyss*
I wanna hear how this show went for you.
Clarification: I tried not one but two Sunn O))) shows and had to leave both early. The first was at an indoor theater and produced a near actual panic attack. The second time was a little better because outside (at Moog 2016), but I still couldn't make it all the way through.
Don't get me wrong, I think their shows are fascinating. But my brain just truly cannot handle more than a few minutes of it.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
