So does the Shaky Knees fest affect the line up ? Is everyone at SK out ?
There was cross over from the under card last year and then the Tame Impala fill in. But the headliners are usually out for the most part. Hoping for Stereolab & Royal Blood.
didn't even see Caroline Rose at the bottom of this, would love her too. Saw her this summer and she was great; one of the best albums of 2018 too. Hopefully means at least new music from her.
I’m personally viewing pretty much everyone here as out, unfortunately. Stereolab being the main bummer. Surprise me with a more lax radius clause, Coachella.

Good catch - looks like she replaced Father John Misty:
Yeah that makes me significantly less optimistic for anything in the top half of the lineup.

I think we get 2-3 names from the bottom half of the Shaky lineup, but I'd be shocked if Stereolab shows up now. They're probably better off at Prima anyway, assuming they book more similar acts. If you're a huge fan, you probably saw them at Desert Daze or hit up the club tour this year. They aren't that high energy, and the thought of a 50 minute late afternoon tent set kinda bums me out.

Yeah, you didnt watch their pitchfork set then. Since that was high energy and in broad daylight. Went over really well. If coachella is considering them to be low billed this isnt gonna matter, but who knows now. They could stick them in the Sonora to close the tent and get a longer set if it came to that.

They also had to rush through the set as the storm and evacuation cut a bit into it. It was really awesome though, nice contrast with their more thought out set at Thalia the night before.

I saw them twice in person this year, jackass. They're very good, great if you love the material, but the band is pretty reserved. They are much more likely to go over well at a festival like Pitchfork or Desert Daze that books similar acts.
Plus Hayden James pls. That would be a quality Sahara set in the Gryffin spot. I love the new album. Has anyone seen them/him live before?
I saw Hayden James prior to his new album at Electric Forest in 2018. From memory it was a really enjoyable set but generally laidback and groovy, not nearly as energetic / drop heavy as I would expect from your average Sahara set. If he's still playing a similar style of show I kinda think he'd do better in a tent slot playing to a more intimate crowd, but he might have been catering his show towards the Forest audience at the time.
