I owe you guys an apology on Warren. You were right. Not that I wouldn’t support her as a candidate if she won, but she waffles too much, and that whole scene she created with Sanders for political points was garbage.

Warren would get demolished in a debate with Trump. Even if she raised valid economic, social and cultural points, he'd harp on calling her Pocahontas for an hour and make her look foolish.

To piggy back on this electability discussion. My dad is a life long republican. After 2016 we talked about everything and he mentioned that he doesn’t like trump but still voted for him. When I asked why, he said “I just couldn’t bring myself to check that box that said Hillary”. He then went on to say that if the nominee had been sanders, he would have at least considered voting for him. I guarantee that Clinton’s policies would come closer to reflecting his beliefs, but he still claims to be more aligned with sanders. This could be just because of the general disdain for Hillary that republican share, but I think it drives home the argument that policy doesn’t always equal electability (whatever that means).
Warren really has fallen off huh, oof. It's beyond me how consistent Biden's numbers are.. yet, maybe it's a good thing that his campaign isn't exactly going forward either.

Pro-life people are some of the most hypocritical scum on the Earth. Oooh yes, don't you dare take an innocent baby's life away! That's God's baby!
Wait...you had a BLACK baby? And she needs government and tax-subsidized healthcare, assistance for getting into a good school and resources? WITH MY TAXES?!?!?!?!?!?!? Talk about a LEECH, PEE-YOO! This is why I'm voting for Trump in 2020! #prolife4ever

Breaking: Man famous for his disastrously wrongheaded war mongering makes poorly thought out Vietnam metaphor.
Honestly, I need to make a list of all the idiots that write things like this. Pretty sure every well-known journalist who war mongered for the Iraq invasion has an anti-Bernie article. That should tell you something.
Bonus points for continuing the theme of ex-Republicans and never Trumpers butting into the Dem primary. Jennifer Rubin was crying about Bernie to her little #resistance following this weekend. These people aren't allies. Jesus Christ.

On a related topic, are there articles about why other people can't win? It feels like I see ones about Bernie much more often than any other candidate. I'm not professional, but I feel like an article about why Biden/Bloomberg/Buttigieg/etc. would not be that difficult to write.

There are some but rarely spotlighted... at least from what I've seen. Ryan Cooper has wrote some good ones on Biden for The Week. That's probably the most "mainstream" person I can think of that's very anti-Biden.
Buttigieg's problems with African American voters has been brought up but I don't recall it ever being framed as "he can't win". It's usually seen as a major issue he needs to fix... which is fair. It's certainly doesn't seem to be handled the same way it is/was with Sanders. We've talked about that before but they've treated Amy and Pete completely differently on the issue.
Overall it feels very one sided. Even people like Nate Silver point out these obvious flaws and then overlook them or downplay them. It's a complete crock of shit.
The people in this thread have done a much better job than the media at pointing out the flaws of these folks.

People of Slack and current campaign calling - Please think about opening a discussion about is your candidate about this (yes, I'm talking Sanders mostly): Are you willing to fight for someone you don't know?

Anyone else think this Bolton testimony the Dems are pushing for is going to backfire spectacularly? Bolton keeps leaking things from his book he "could" testify about, but once he's in there he will lie for Trump knowing full well he wouldn't be prosecuted by Barr.
4D chess gets thrown around a lot, but this is probably a trap.

If you asked me if I trusted him on his decision making and policy/ideology, I’d say not whatsoever. But I don’t know if his testimony will backfire. If he testifies and implicates Trump, that’s it. He will get acquitted or whatever they call non-conviction, and Senate Republicans will get many cross eyed looks from historians in the future. Hopefully they and their legacy will be shamed for all time as the most hollow and unsubstantive hacks to occupy a branch of the legislature. It’s not enough obviously. It’s a gamble, and your hunch might be right. But I think it’s a risk the prosecution has to take.

I'm guessing that someone will try to make a deal where Bolton testifies in exchange for dragging the Bidens into it some more. Nobody really wins, it just becomes a shit show.

Wow. It's gonna get ugly in the next couple weeks.
Sure would help to knock the shit out of Biden in these early states.
Happy to see that Bernie didn’t fold to the woke / cancel / deplatform goons regarding the semi-endorsement from Joe Rogan.
Liberals: We've got to have a nominee with appeal to moderates and Republicans.
Bernie: This extremely successful podcaster with massive reach with disaffected young people says he's voting for me and I didn't have to compromise my proposals in the process. This is one way to broaden our coalition.
