How many states will have abortion bills on the ballot? Half? Less than half? It’s not going to put 2024 at the same level as 2020
Abortion wasn’t really an issue in 2020 because Roe v Wade wasn’t overturned until June 2022. Abortion has been a winner on every ballot since. You don’t need it on every ballot to make abortion significant. These are the states with abortion on the ballot already:
Florida, Maryland, New York.
These states are pushing to have abortion on the ballot:
Arizona Arkansas Colorado Missouri Montana Nebraska Nevada South Dakota
i just dont feel i can vote for biden in good conscience. ive seen enough videos of children being blown to bits. abortion rights is a genuine concern but it just feels wrong voting for someone that evil
Hoping beyond hope you dont live in a swing state.
You absolutely have a right to vote your conscience for the Green Party candidate (or any 3rd party) for POTUS, but don't be when Donny Two Scoops wins because GA/MI/OH/PA/NC/etc went for him by a 3 figure vote margin like FL did in 2000.
Why I wish those of us in solid blue states could trade votes with those in swing states who wish to vote 3rd party. Wishing of course because Republicans would construe that as -=election interference=-.
You really don't have to explain Swing States to us every month, my dude. Also, most of us don't give a shit about 3rd parties.
The main idea Gabe was talking about depends on Trump losing and trying to overturn election results. So no, nowhere in the above are people saying Trump winning is inevitable. And if people do believe it's inevitable, it doesn't logically imply that they want that.
As said in the replies.... they are talking in theory observed by Marx...

No way in hell it passes in CO.
Colorado is trying to get abortion rights on the ballot to ADD abortion rights to their constitution.
Imagine thinking that letting Trump get elected will help prevent more atrocities in the Middle East and also not lead to atrocities here on top of that. GTFO.

You just making things up in your head?
Like what? Trump is dramatically more supportive of what Israel’s done, and we already know what his policies create in America

I'm just wondering if it's some mental thing Liberals have. When people have perfectly valid reason for not supporting their shitty candidate they feel the need to put words in peoples' mouths and/or talk to them like they are 5 years old.
In other words, literally nobody currently in this thread has ever said anything close to Trump "will help prevent more atrocities in the Middle East." Nobody is arguing he'd be better on domestic issues than Biden either. Nobody thinks this.
The few of us not voting/considering not voting for Biden are doing it on moral reasons. I don't expect anyone here to agree with it. I don't expect it to make a difference. I certainly don't expect a better outcome out of it. I'm not trying to talk anyone out of voting. Everything I've said is pretty strait fucking forward.
"I hope no one that cares about Palestine lives in Michigan tsk tsk."
Imagine being a single issue voter.
Amen. All issues are equal. Anyone who so much as considers leveraging their vote against a virulent Islamophobe who's given limitless billions, bombs, and backing to a country that's slaughtered tens of thousands of civilians, displaced millions, starved them en masse, and destroyed every facet of life really needs to assess their morals.
The "values" of these so-called leftists who refuse to endorse Biden's genocide via vote after liberals spent years denouncing Trump for his anti-Islamic bigotry are repulsive. Starving, bombing, and sniping emaciated children with missing limbs who often see the remains of their relatives be eaten by animals kinda sucks but it can't be helped. I wish the election was today so I could vote for Biden then throw on a disguise and vote for him again.

I know y'all don't, but I feel compelled to point out the "obvious" in case a newbie stumbles across this thread and takes the most recent few pages on face value.

Everything you’ve said here about recognizing Trump is worse disproves the notion of not voting for Biden because of moral grounds, unless you’re privileged enough to live in a place where that vote truly won’t make a difference (in which case I really hope you’re still voting for other races). I cannot stomach the argument that it’s the “morally right” thing to not vote for Biden if there is even the slightest risk that doing so helps elect Trump. Because the “morally right” thing given the options is not letting Trump get re-elected.

As some of y'all love to hate me say: Perfection is the enemy of good in American Federal politics. Save the idealism for local and primary elections, and realism for the general. Pretending the status quo doesn't exist (including voting 3rd party for POTUS) won't get us anywhere so long as there are a plethora of useful idiots/good ole boys+gals out there who will reliably vote Republican every time because they've been programmed to kick themselves in the dick to "own the libs".
