Made a curated Nicolas Jaar playlist. Starts out with his more ambient soundscapes / classical compositions and then picks up. Includes some DARKSIDE and Against All Logic as well.
I excluded his more house-y tracks, specifically the older more recognized ones because I feel like he’s evolved away from that.
The playlist is intended to be played through so please don’t use shuffle
I've been listening to a lot of live shows recently and I think that late 80's when Brent and Jerry were cogent and clear they'd connect on some jams that were (and i hate this word) pretty epic. brent definitely brought much needed new energy to the band after the godchauex years. sometimes the 80's synth sounds were too much, imo, but watch this dear mr. fantasy/hey jude from foxboro in 89 - mydland could kill it and he and jerry definitely had a clear musical connection.
i'll always be a pigpen homer, but brent was probably the best thing to happen to the dead. whatever, watch that video you heathens. brent is the best part

Brent’s the man. This is another great Brent-Jerry jam from that tour. Just firing off riffs at one another
So far this year I've been listening to '89 backwards (really good shit. July is just bursting; see that vid from meatball) and Brent carried the band. I think his studio/songwriting contributions are muddled in the weird 80's synth sounds they were messing with, but he brought a fire to the band, especially when jerry was sorta in and out of it. I love him on the organ and his voice was such a good counterpart to jerry's.
made one for Mastodon since they got added to Bonnaroo, with the caveat that this includes stuff which isn't essential but which might get played at their upcoming shows
About 1h45m long, and it's mostly their "bigger songs" so a deeper dive version with some live tracks would be very cool!
so i went through all their records and added songs to a playlist, then looked at your playlist and removed whatever duplicate songs we had (there were quite a few). while you did cover the "big songs" you also did a good job of selecting some of the browner tracks.
so i dunno if what i'm doing will necessarily be a "deep dive", maybe just a different dive, since anytime you delve into Ween the waters get pretty deep pretty quick once you get past Ocean Man and Voodoo Lady.
don't think i ever posted this playlist. found it deep in the recesses of my spotify today and it's a fucking insane playlist if the goal is to try and get someone into ween. i did a really poor job.
his last couple albums are good but not well represented here, he gets very deep and introspective and its definitely a vibe if you want to dig into those later.

Added both of those to the OP. Kinda forgot about this thread but we have a nice little collection of playlists here! Feel free to submit additional ones even if no one's requested should you feel so moved
