I know on the Roo website they say you have 10 feet to one side of your vehicle, but is it actually that tight of a squeeze? I'll be going with 5 people and we have 2 tents. We also wanted to set up a shade area to eat, cook, etc. If we squeeze our tents around the food area will we be able to fit all this? Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

No. there is nobody with a tape-measure sizing your spot. Just park a little further to the right and have the next guy do the same. we had about 15 (or more) feet on both sides and about 6 feet in front and about 25 or 30 behind us. plenty of room if you work it right.
we had no problem. as soon as we parked, we jumped out and unfolded our tent and started marking our spot with stuff. as long as noone beside you is being greedy there is plenty of room. we had a tent and a shade tent and tarps running to the truck. They parked the cars front bumper to back bumper and everyone used the space in front of their vehicles. we were fine. Besides, before the end of the weekend, we were merged with the guys next door anyeay. So, don't stress too much about it.
Merging is a great thing. I merged my solo camp with the panic boyz year one and we had a good time.
Funniest moment? I'm heading in for a nap so I can catch the late night (Karl D!) while they go see Panic. One of 'em sez: "I like it when these old guys show up. They really add a lot."
