this is prolly a dumb question, but are there any suggestions on how to keep the inside of your tent dry? last time i went to a festival, when the temp dropped at night, everything inside my tent got uncomfortably DAMP. any help appreciated. thanks.
put a tarp underneath your tent so you have seperation from the ground. also, you should put some kind of awning over your tent, but make sure it's suspended so it doesn't touch the actual tent. Other than that, there's not really a whole lot u can do. Make sure it's all closed up when u leave your site in case it starts raining. Leaving the really important stuff in your car is probably your best bet.

i'm no condensation buff but i believe what is happening is that the air in your tent is warmer that the air outside your tent......therefore the membrane between the two (tent skin) is allowin the air to condense on the cool surface of the tent......what i would suggest is ventilating the tent while you sleep if at all possible.....some of them have vent slits made into the roof but the rain fly sometimes covers them......maybe leave the door flap open a little......
but then you are exposing yourself to bugs.....so pick your poison
If condesation is a problem...I suggest that you keep everything you don't need sealed in a waterproof bag like clothes etc. overnight so it won't get wet. Keep some of your screens opened a bit to let the air ventilate...
Also, Coleman makes these cool little battery operated tent fans that hang on the wall or ceiling of the tent. They are pretty good in keeping the air circulating. Used in combination with open doors, windows, condensation becomes less of an issue.
thanks ya'all- those are great ideas that i'm sure will help. i feel silly being worried about such a little thing... a minor inconvienence in the grand scheme i suppose. but thanks again and see ya'll there
