That would be a TREMENDOUS walk. I met some people last year that were in the furthest camping point (accross BBRd.) and their walk was 45 mins. to the venues. My suggestion, if someone is gonna stay in that campground.....be prepared that once you leave, you're not gonna wanna make a return trip till nightfall. My guess is that is someone's private property that is trying to make a little extra cash during the show.
I wrote an email to the guy that owns the place. He said that there would be shuttles that would take you to the entrance...but who knows how often they come and go. The thing that makes me consider this site for camping is that there is shade, you can have campfires, and the bathrooms and showers are most likely less used and therefore more clean. The only problem is the distance and the additional $150 that it would cost to get a spot there. What does everyone else think of this?
By the time you spend almost $200 on a ticket, $150 to camp, and groceries, you could have half of a VIP ticket. In VIP you'd be closer to Centeroo and they feed you. VIP is sold out, but I still don't see the point in spending extra money to camp. I'd rather be with the general population. You can buy your own camping porta potty and a solar shower for a whole lot less money. Just a thought. I'm sure LaRue Camping will get plenty of business, but it's not for me.
