This is gonna be my first roo, and i want to hit the ground running and not spend all of friday just figuring out where things are. So I'm looking at this huge aerial photo and comparing to the 2004 site map, trying to figure out what's what. It's actually pretty fun. I can't get over the size of it, and from what I can tell, this is still early on Thursday last year when many of the lots aren't even filled in yet... insane dude...
Anyone know where i can find last year's site map? Is the layout the same every year?
so it looks like just outside the main stage area there's vip/rv camping, then the tent only area?
and where is shakedown central? I'm guessing it's that crowded intersection directly above the "pond" near the bottom of the pic (do people swim in that thing?)

This pic must have been taken pretty early or when everyone was leaving. Shakedown St is the street directly to the left of the pond. I camped right next to the Ice trucks in the very bottom left hanf corner.
Okay, here's a pic I used in another thread, but it will work for our purpose on this thread:
Pink = Centeroo Blue = VIP area Red = BFE - the little circled area is "Camp M"
BFE is where I camped last year and so did Sparklybecca (we didn't know each other then, though).
BFE is the first area they begin filling up early Thursday. Once it's full, they start on the other sections.
The tent-only area is left of Centeroo in this photo, but it's hard to tell. If you go to some of the aerial photos on www.bonnaroo.com you can tell the tent-only areas because there are no cars or RVs.
Hey TickTrix I see you like GoogleEarth too eh? I think it's just about the coolest thing i've ever seen. Here I rotated and angled the view so that it more or less matches the earlier photo you posted.
You can see the farm during bonnaroo and also during the offseason. pretty effin amazing....
(oh and for those of you who haven't downloaded GoogleEarth yet, what are you waiting for? It's only like the coolest thing ever....)

My husband and I and 3 of our friends are coming from Florida w/ an RV and a handicapped parking pass. Does anyone know where the handicapped accessible parking is? Also, if you do know where it is, Which is closer, Handicapped or Rv area? I had a couple of car accidents and can't walk for very long periods but don't want to take a handicapped spot from someone who might need it more...Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
The handicap camping is marked on the '04 map above as the two gray boxes directly to the left of centeroo. I just looked at my '05 map and it was a larger area extending north of centeroo as well. I'm not sure where it will be in '06.
Kampy, I can't thank you enough for your maps. I'm now realizing I missed a large part of Bonnaroo last year. Tiki Bar? I never saw that. Shakedown Street? Um, that's not where I thought it was, which means I never saw it.
so is it just earth, or do they plant grass just for bonnaroo and let it grow?
It's just grass. They mow it right before the festival (which causes the spiders to come out) but they do not mow it low (about 6 to 7 inches high). By the end of the weekend, it's all flattened out from the walking and the camps.

I dunno, but I FOUND MY CAMPSITE!!!
If you scroll all the way to the right, you will see two roads with lines of cars entering the festival....i'm on the road closest to you. Follow that road down to the first intersection, i'm the first blue tarp on the left side of the road.!!
I saved it to my computer and zoomed in to make sure...i can see my car and tarp thingy exactly where we were last year. That photo was taken early...not all the camp space is filled in.
