Looking at what people are saying, the camping only section is the way to go. Do you have to tell people at the gates that's what your plans are, or do you just park with everybody else and then take all of your crap over to the site? Any other tips for getting to the tent only section would be appreciated as well (especially for someone who won't know what he's doing)!

Never done tent-only, b/c I always have a car full of stuff. But I think there's a separate parking area for tent-only, so that people camping by their cars are crammed in any more than they have to be.
My friends and I are trying to decide whether we want to do the camping only area or not...I think it might be a game time decision, depending on how far away our parking spot is. Is it worth the haul?
You're right, it will depend a lot on how far away your campsite is. Its literally 2 minutes from "tent-only" to centeroo, whereas you could have a 20 minute walk depeing on where you get parked when you arrive. If you're 5-10 minutes from centeroo you have a good spot and should save "tent-only" for those who really need it. What sucks is that if you're 20 minutes from centeroo your also a good 20 minutes from tent-only when you park, so hauling your stuff is gonna suck. If my spot isn't good enough I plan on having two tents, one in tent-only, this one being for daily activites and also to serve as a meeting place, and another tent at my car, where I will sleep. Tent only is close to centeroo, which is nice, but also means its noisy.
Earplugs on a cord (very important to have a cord - you don't want to have to dig one out of your ear in the morning) will take care of noisy neighbors.
The tent only area did not seem exciting for us. This will be my 3rd Roo and I could not see hauling all the things we bring to this area. We would have to make many trips and I could not see it working for us. Plus we like to use our car to keep money ect and also cool off at times in the ac. Plus the vibe in the camping area seems a little more mundane then being with the rest of the people. I dont mind the walk back and fourth to centerroo, that is just as much fun to talk to all the people, shop for goodies and just stumble along. I think that is one of the best parts.
