It's hard to see from that far away, but how much room do you usually get to set up camp. We'll have six people, two 4-man's and a central tarp shelter for a table and such. Should I just try to claim a huge chunk of space behind our car?
Also, if I have three of my group flying in on Frifday after us other three will set up on Thursday afternoon. Will they be able to find us easy? Will cell phones work? Should I bring a set of two-way radios?

Cells work, two way channels will probably be very busy...
Just hop out of your car right after you park and start setting up immediately, get your tents spread out on the ground and your common area figured out... Get set up quick before people starting flooding in around you, be nice about it but stake your claim ASAP...
As for meeting your friends i doubt it will be "Easy" for them to find you, but if you set up a meeting spot by phone or whatever you could go find them there and show them the way to your camp...

So there's 6 people and one car, right? You may have trouble getting enough space. You may want to consider hauling everything to the tent-only area - see other threads for details.
The reason I say this is that, although we knew ahead of time last year that we were supposed to park, quickly hop out of the car and lay out our tent to mark our spot, other's beat us to it and took the area in front of our car. Seriously, for about two hours we were having panic attacks because we had NO PLACE to put our tent, much less make a shady area for chairs. If it wasn't for one person who moved their car to another area, we would've been sleeping in our car.
We were in BFE and packed in really tight. We couldn't even open the car doors all of the way. I know from looking at the aerials that not all camping areas are this tight, so you may not have any trouble, but I just wanted to tell you the worst case scenerio.
Here's a pic of BFE from my car - very tight quarters:

Yeah if you get sandwiched in that tight you might have to walk a ways to find a clear spot... Tent only is a great option for anyone who can make it work...

I was back in there too. WTF was up with that. It was so hard to get in and out, you had to walk over tents.
All we need is every other person to park crooked and we'll all have plenty of room. ;D
When you get in line, after the initial car search and you are given wristbands, start talking to the people in the cars around you - they will be your neighbors. Tell them the plan is to pull as far away from the car already next to them that's parked and swing in crooked. In theory it should work if the staff doesn't get all snarky about it. Good luck!
