they look like those dutch clogs(i think thats the word) the wooden ones. basically a flip flop but your toes are covered too. it has holes in the top part so your foot can breath and so you can get round sunburn spots on your foot so put sunscreen on the top of your feet. they have a nice strap that folds forward for flip flop use and swings back behind your heel to stay on through mud and whatnot
i saw em for 30 bucks at Dick's Sports last night.
i dont know. i think boots would be better. but then again 05 wasnt nearly as bad as 04. in 04 crocs wouldnt have done the trick, but in 05 they were all you needed. im bringing boots just in case.
nope ive never had any problems. i mean of course your feet will sweat some but its never been an issue for me and i have the black ones. they are ventilated quite well and they are a weird plastic. super light and cool. and when they get wet or sweaty they dont rub like other shoes ive tried. i think just how light they are and the fact that they dont absorb any water at all to weigh them down makes a big difference with all the walking
I don't have a pair (yet), but I tried on my little brother's. They look like hard plastic, but they are actually a little bit soft. (Almost foamy, but not so much that they would be really absorbant.)
I wore my Tevas last year and everything was fine with them except the mud - it was kinda hard to get it washed off and kinda itched my feet when it dried under the straps, and there is still Bonnaroo grass stuck in the velcro. But my feet didn't get sore and there were no blisters so they worked pretty well.
I think I might go for crocs this year, I was just looking at them online - I'm thinking I'll go with those "Nile" ones that look more like a sandal than a clog. Anyone ever bought that style? It has a strap as well so it should work just as well and I like the way they look.
About backpacks - if you don't have too much to bring you could probably get away with a camelback-type bag. It was really thin and light (I think mine was supposed to be for snowboarders or bikers - I got it on ebags.com) and didn't get in the way at all, it had enough room for the essentials and of course the all-important water.
My brother and my stepdad both wear them. I think both of their's are Navy, but other colors would work (Black, Navy, Chocolate, maybe even khaki or sage). Personally, I think they are a little silly looking whether you are a boy or a girl, but I'm getting some anyway! (I'm a girl) They are supposed to be super comfortable. (My mom's a nurse, and she wears them to work.)
I started the post and I am a guy and I got black.........I thought the bright colors were cool, but too bright for my taste....They are really comfortable and I am looking forward to stumbling around in them
Yeah, until it gets muddy. Then you wish your shoes didn't have holes in them.
I'll take my giant knee high rain/mud boots along like last year. But let me tell you, it's hardly any fun to walk around in those bad boys all day. If I have to choose between muddy, comfortable feet or sweaty, aching feet.....I'm taking the comfortable ones. I'll just wash my feet off before hitting the sack each night.
Regardless, I ordered my pair today. One pair of Chocolate, Size 10 Caymans is on its way as I type this.

I am ordering the Cayman also but in Orange and I am getting my rain boots from Target. I would have bought my Crocs somewhere around here but everyone carries the Beach and those are way too wide for my feet.
Target has got really cute boots for girls in all kinds of patterns and they are only $20. Tall and short so I am going for those...Hopefully we won't need rain boots...We can only dream

i have the black ones. and people will give you crap about em in public. at roo it wont be an issue. you will see them everywhere. in the "real world" ive gotten plenty of comments about my clogs. i have also had people holler bonnaroo at me when i didnt even have a roo shirt on. the only thing they could identify my rooing status off of was the crocs. i would say if your worried about getting crap for them i wouldnt wear them out around town. and if ya dont care then where them everywhere.they are the most comfortable show i own so i wear them everywhere. my toes are claustrophobic though so i almost never wear actual shoes

So.. which type is the one to get? The beach and cayman have holes- which is good for breathability but not so much for mud... what about the aspen?
If you are in that deep of mud that your shoes get sucked off you are going to want something that ports the mud away from your feet when you step down. The mud squishes out the holes and away from your feet, I guess!

Honestly, it looks like the Caymans come in each individual size 9, 10, 11, 12; etc. The Beaches only come in 2 size groupings like 8-10, 10-12; etc.
I also noticed that a lot of the colors in Beach are out of stock from the main Crocs website. I did however find the color I wanted in Cayman. I'd rather have the sandle be my actual shoe size instead of an approximation.

Just got my first pair in the mail tonite. Black Caymans, they feel great after being on my feet all day, stilll not sure that mud won't suck them off of my feet, but hopefully that won't be an issue.
You guys have twisted my arm into buying a pair. Now I just gotta wait till I get paid next week, and then a pair of chocolate, size 12 aspen crocs will be on my feet.
