Food & Stuff Manchester's Walmart is open 24hrs a day for all your shopping needs. If you only need groceries here are some possible alternatives (Bi-Lo, Food Lion, Sav-A-Lot are sure bets. I'm not positive about some of those others): maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=grocery+near+manchester,+tn&ll=35.48164,-86.088524&spn=0.135031,0.230713 (link is messed up, copy & paste in browser) Alchohol All stores stop selling beer at 3am and don't begin selling again till 8am. On Sunday, beer can't be sold until after noon. Liquor stores are closed on Sunday, but TN state law allows Beans Creek Winery (more info on that place to come) to open at 1pm on Sundays(if they keep regular hours during Bonnaroo).
They are a small neighborhood grocery store off Spring Street (duh) and the have the best frsh meat.
Their Ground beef and steaks are DA BOMB!!
AND, thier store was devastated by fire about a year and a half ago, they have rebuilt in the same spot, and you can rest assured that your purchase will not be going into the coffers of the Walton family! This is a family owned market!
much respect to those looking for walmart alternatives. i know its cheap and many can only afford to shop there, but wal-mart costs you much more than you'd think. sorry for the semi-off topic post, and check out www.wakeupwalmart.com (a group I used to work for) if you are interested in more.
Good for you. Help the little guy. I have a small jewelry and bookstore and I hear that word walmart everyday from customers and it makes my blood boil everytime. Small butcher shops always have the best cuts of meat and FRESH! I'm getting hungry just thinking about that Spring St. Market.
