Was just watching the news (I live in the Nashville area) and they were talking about Bonnaroo. They said that starting noon on Weds. that there would be traffic trucks working to keep things moving until Monday. Hopefully they've learned from their misteaks from previous years and can move people faster. Didn't say anything about the rumor about Bushy Branch being open from 2 different directions. If I hear anything, I'll post.
the flow was pretty good on the interstate last year for the non-roo traffic.....the only problems i saw was that some ppl didn't realize we were in line for a show and thought they needed to park on the side of the road with us......most of em figured it out within an hour or so......they should erect signs so that everyone understands what the lines are for......
I've often wondered if a civil engineer could do some pretty serious research at events like 'Roo or anything else that draws a sizeable crowd and how they work the traffic? For some reason the nuts and bolts of stuff like that interests me.

TDOT has been working on this all year (I just spoke with them today) they will have 4 or 5 of their "lime green" trucks to help people out...24 hours per day. TDOT actually created a new Bonnaroo Exit (I think it 112) that's only open during the event. It's closed the rest of the year. It's a lot of people, coming to a small community over a very short period of time. It tests all the systems they have in place. Road Construction will be stopped to make sure traffic flows smoother, they've installed new towers for better emergency communication. Lets all go, relax during the trip and just take it in stride.
