girl it was so easy. i made 4 in about 2 hours. it costs around 28$ for all the materials (including wire tools) and i'll be able to make probably at least 10 of them.
hey all, guy here this seemed like the place to ask.. What is a good body glitter to find online? A girl at Bearcreek had something called wondergirl? that was great. Just simple superfine silver glitter. I don't remember the name so i can't find it. thanks
Oh crap. I'm super close to buying a ton of glitter that I only wear at concerts and festivals (and, let's be honest, usually forget to put on at all). $.99 is super tempting. The reviews are really good, though.
I have some really fine craft glue leftover from making christmas ornaments with my kids. I wonder if it would work? That shiz was everywhere when we were done. I'm willing to bet it'd stick to a layer of roo sweat no problem.
and btw, the glowbys are AWESOME. I had to hide them from my 5yo because she is convinced I got them for her. How awkward was it when she told her brother's teacher that mommy has light up hair for Bonnaroo. Makes me sound real mature and motherly.
PS the white and green are MUCH brighter than the red and pink glowbys. The whole thing glows in green and white, whereas the red and pink really only show color on the tips. Both are cool though. I can attempt pics of what I have. I'm waiting on 4 more in the mail, too.
After receiving my super cool Secret Santa gift & seeing Mayo's gift, I've decided for me this year will be the year of the panda at Roo. I can wear my moogfest panda shirt again as well, & I think I'm going to have to buy this. ;D

GLITTER: When i was in college, I worked at a Claires for my pocket (see: party favors) money. I used to score the glitter when it went on sale - i.e. 50% off of $1. Then I got my employee discount. I basically got glitter for free. ...fastforward (oh Lord) 12 years (oh Lord, 12) and I STILL have a hologram box of my rave candy and another glittery box full of nothing but body glitter. I literally just pulled it out for Counterpoint a few months ago, and it's still good to go! I also used some of the .99 glitter in a pot from Sally's - the neon green is especially fun.
Much like CUSteph is going "year of the panda" at Roo '13 - I think I'm gonna go "GlitterBOMB." It really does make me happy to wear glitter all the time (and tutus) and I'm generally filthy at Roo. Why not add to the madness? I don't know why I think that keeping glitter off me will keep me "more" clean. ...So glitter it is.
OH YEAH BOOBS: I also wore a normal VS underwire T-shirt bra this year in addition to the yoga racer back. It's glorious and neon green with polka dots. I told myself not to do it, bc I KNEW that dirt would get ingrained into it... but I did anyway. My boobs not only were supported, but they looked amazeboobs, and also NEON. Of course, to this day (yes I wear neon bras in the winter time) the straps are a little brown. When I wear it, it makes me think of Roo. ;D

I read the entire RooTu thread yesterday and am definitely going to make one for this year! (I am in no way creative, but it looks super fun!). Already scoped out glittery tulle at Michael's.
YAY! Welcome to the GFT and to making a RooTu Ashyroo! You will love it! And also - if there is a Hobby Lobby near you, their glittery tulle section is WAY more extensive than michaels or joanns.
