Me too! I get the basics of the Roo-tu I just never get mine too look as puffy and nice :/

Btw I noticed our Hobby Lobby has barcodes. Isn't that strange? Oh and Plan B doesn't kill a baby it just keeps you from releasing your eggs. If they have already been released and one has been fertilized Plan B won't hurt the egg or pregnancy.

Mayo- I cannot wait to have my TuTu again. The bustle was the best thing ever! I'm super sad that it's missing. Whenever you do make it though I need to send you different measurements for the waist part. I was way off last year. Also let me know on the costs I'm super stoked! XOXOXO

You guys make me want to drive 50 miles to hobby lobby.

They have barcodes the workers just aren't allowed to scan them. They have to manually type in the numbers.

We definitely don't have any HobbyLobby here in Canada. However....I am planning a trip to Fabricland (our names don't even rhyme ) today...and then maybe a Michael's later on! But probably just Fabricland.

I came up with a genius (????? we'll see....) idea. I am taking on of my serving aprons, and sewing some parts, adding some velcro and other fun shiz...and am going to use it as a fanny pack type thing. I have zero sewing skills, but a decent amount of free time, and a plentiful supply of corn on my day off. I'll most def report back. I like the idea, cause I think it's going to lie a bit flatter than my fanny pack from last year.

Just wanted to share my great find since it was kind of a surprise and I'm a bit excited about it

So, I have a 4yo daughter and I do this local kids consignment sale twice a year (sell stuff she's grown out of, and buy her new seasonal wardrobe with the proceeds). Last Fall, Kohls had a bunch of summer clothing listed at 90% off, so during one of their sale periods where they offer 30% off, I bought a few things I could sell at the Spring consignment sale and make a few bucks. One item was a "Girls' Plus" size cotton tie-dye maxi dress that was $38, marked down 90% to $3.80, and after 30% off was $2.66 + tax. I bought it planning on selling it for like $5 at the consignment sale, but when I got it out the other day to hang & tag it, I noticed it looked like it might fit me. I tried it on then, and lo and behold, it fit great and holds "the girls" up excellently without a bra, and I'm no tiny miss up top. I'm approx a misses size 10 or 12, and this was size 16 1/2 in Girls' Plus. I just need to trim my belly a bit before this summer and the dress will look great and seems like it will be cool & comfy, perfect for roo. I tried to find a picture of it but it isn't listed on the website anymore

So, ladies, when you're out shopping, check out the girls' plus section from time to time. They have cute stuff & it's often cheaper than juniors & misses


PS - I LOVE that VS crop/bikini top. I would love to be a little bit smaller to be able to wear it. Great inspiration to put down the donuts and get to the gym!

just dropping by to say i love all the canadians around these parts <3 if you're looking for places to shop, at least in the sarnia/port huron/metro detroit area, i'm your girl if you're not familiar with the area! port huron has a lot now, especially a hobby lobby and another craft store (name escapes me right now but i'll ask mom in the morning).

i'm really bummed i have no one to do my 'roo shopping with this year someone come with me!

I would be happy to pay for it and shipping, and would prefer that than doing it myself..... I am in the middle of major renovations of one house and moving out of the other, and then am going to Europe right before Bonnaroo, so am short on time

And ROOTUS - Ladies i had an idea today and wanted to share with y'all first. I'm gonna make a line of Bonnaroo 2013 Lineup Tus. That's right. One of a kind Tu's inspired by artists from the 2013 lineup. I've made 2 today. Hopefully I can make another couple tonight. I'll put them up on the etsy site tomorrow hopefully. The two made today are "Pretty Lights" and "Bjork:Volta." Of course, Im down to make any customs of ideas that y'all have. But wanted to let y'all know that if you just want a Rootu with no custom idea, there will be some up tomorrow <3

And anyone who wants to "copy" on that flouncy top, DO IT! It's too cute to not share. I have a feeling we'll see a lot of them on the farm this year. i can't WAIT.

Indeed! Im kinda pumped to see what my mind cranks out too! So far, the only one that's "conceptual" is Pretty Lights - it's all neon and bright blue and FUN. The others are based on the album covers. I just finished "Passion Pit:Gossamer" and its soooooo pink and pretty! I Baroness could be easy if I go that route bc their albums are named colors. But the others will be harder... Obvs I'm not going to attempt to make one for every artist. I'll likely take the easy route and do the albums artists I particularly like You can expect to see versions for Macca, The National, Matt & Kim, Purity Ring, the XX, and Holy Ghost! for sure...

This thread is solid gold on creativity! You ladies rock!! I'm definitely going to have to set aside some crafty time to see what I can come up with.
