I love Bonnaroo and have gone the past 2 years. But after last year, with the heat and the rain and the mud, we decided that would be our last year!! I would love to go again but wish that it wasn't so incredibly hot and wouldn't rain. Being from the South, I am definitely used to the heat, but not without the comfort of my air conditioned home to retreat to. I would love it if they would move Bonnaroo to October or sometime around then. The weather would be so nice then!! And there would be less heat related sicknesses and other incidents. That is my suggestion and I wish that would happen!! I would definitely attend every other Bonnaroo if that happened!! (It would also be better if the ticket prices went down, which might be a possibility since they didn't sell out this year!)
I will have to get back to on the move, this is my first Roo and not really sure what to expect as of yet. I have grown up in Tennessee and am accustomed to the weather so we will see how it goes.

I agree to the fullest. I mean bonnaroo is great, but just think how much better it would be if you didn't have to worry about the heat, at all. Everyone could go go go, all day and night, and not think twice about it. I thought about this after last year as well. I mean the whole "hippie iron man" thing is cool, but I'd much rather be comfortable. That's just me though. Coventry was great in that aspect last year. I mean there was tons of mud, but the weather was beautiful. Very condusive to long days and nights of binge whatever.
I think that enough of the demographic falls into the college (or younger) age range that this would never happen. I actually wish that they would move it a few weeks later , because my teacher wife always has a week or two of school left after Bonnaroo. This always makes this week stressful for her and means we have to leave on Thursday as opposed to Wednesday.
I agree that it would never happen because it is easier for most people to go in the summer. And don't get me wrong, I love Bonnaroo and have had a great time both years that I went!! But, I would definitely have more energy without the incredible heat!! I could see more bands and hang longer without it. I was always looking for shade and wanting to sit down because that heat is so exhausting!! And the heat is not good for the people that are partaking in extracurricular activities. ???:-) You also have to worry about heat exhaustion and heat strokes. Staying hydrated is so important!!
I know it won't ever change, but (in my opinion) it would be even better if it were in the fall!!
In the South, October is not cold. It is actually very comfortable and you don't have to worry about rain as much as in the summer! I'm in Alabama and it has rained every day for the past 3 weeks!! That's just how summer is here! I'm sure that it's basically the same in Tennessee too. It's just my opinion, but I would definitely rather be comfortable and would enjoy myself better without the extreme heat.
Either way, I wish that I was going this year!! I hate that I'm going to miss it!!
