Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I just saw that Robert Randolph will be touring with Black Crowes and Drive-By Truckers this summer and it shows that they will be on the west coast during the Bonnaroo weekend. I guess that rules out BC and DBT, but now I'm curious if RR will get pulled from Bonnaroo.
Not a chance. He's got the dates listed on his MySpace, webpage, and its been announced throughout his "Street Team". I can assure you, Randolph love bonnaroo as much as the rest of us, and he won't miss if for the world, and certainly not to open-up for the Black Crowes.
It just seems kinda weird that he would leave in the middle of the tour to come out for one set at Bonnaroo. I also saw somewhere in these forums that he was scheduled for Monday at Bonnaroo, which would obviously be a mistake. Anyway, here is a link to the Billboard article:
Bonnaroo '02 was a huge stepping stone in his career (more like a launch pad), and as the lineup stands now he will be the only person to perform at all five Bonnaroos (this could change with additions; Warren Haynes, Bob Weir, NMAS and Galactic would be in the club if added). He is all over the place guesting every year and along with Warren Haynes has easily been the most ubiquitous presence at Bonnaroo the first four years.
It doesn't suprise me at all that he would put a break in a tour just to make Bonnaroo. I'll eat a shoe if he doesn't show.

If you think about it, a late night set on Sunday would be a great way to keep folks from trying to hit the road while still impaired on Sunday night. Theoretically, I wouldn't put it past them to do this.
