what a show last night.. mmj and pj were both ON FIRE.
cant wait to go back tonight, if anyone has the chance to catch this tour, dont pass it up.
This was my 5th time seeing the brilliant PJ live show, so they didn't surprise me with their amazingness. But MMJ absolutely blew me away. What a friggin set, I was loving every minute of it, and now I must catch them at Roo (maybe when the Disco Biscuits play) They were unreal.
Anyone else feel like Pearl Jam is saying goodbye with this tour? They've been saying, "...we don't know when we'll be back here again" a lot during shows. Everything just feels like they are trying to end on a high point.
did anyone go to boston show last night...They FREAKIN PLAYED LEASH! i missed it by one show....
I'd like to add that to my songs heard live list (seen 35 PJ performances so far, 2 more to go this year in Pitt & Cincy), but Leash is overrated just because they hadn't played it in so long.
Would much rather get to hear Crown of Thorns.
Back on topic, all of PJ's openers for this year are gonna be at Roo except for Robert Pollard. This would've been a great year for them to play there.
I'm dreaming of a surprise appearance (masquerade maybe) but not holding my breath.

I'm lucky to have heard Crown of Thorns twice in a year (Philly-Fall '05 and Chicago 06) and you're right, it has the distinction of being a great song live AND a rare play.
There's just something in the back of my head saying that someone from Pearl Jam is going to show... Like a last rabbit out of the hat or a late-add artist in residence.
I'll say this much....i wouldn't hold my breath for them to be at roo. Maybe at vegoose this year at a night show, but not roo, at least not this year.
danbird, check out the 27th (ill post it if needed)..way better imo. although army reserve and the Black(SO Lonely)/Crazy MAry/Alive from the 28th are crazy.

there is a really good in-depth article in rolling stone. and a seperate interview w/ eddie. check it out. go to www.theskyiscrape.com for the whole article.
Yep- if ever there was a foreboding sign that Roo'ers need to get ready to accept Pearl Jam, them being featured in Relix should give them plenty of warning.
I love reminiscing about the moments when we had to fiercely defend whether Pearl Jam was right for the festival, as though Roo fans wouldn't reject them. Well, now all that's left is a glowing Jambase article and Pearl Jam is in the fold.
