Yes, I am sitting here eating lucky charms out of the box. And you know how you are kind of looking for marshmellows instead of the grain pieces in the cereal? Well there are actually too many marshmellow pieces in each handful I pull out. So I have to throw some back in. And that got me thinking.
This is a good metaphor/parallel/model for the situation that happens at Bonnaroo. Usually during the year we are looking for good bands to go see in concerts (marshmellows). But at Bonnaroo there are so many that you need to pick and choose, and discard some perfectly good choices. (throwing marshmellows back in the box, if you aren't following). Which is upsetting.
Feel free to call me weird or praise me for me sudden stroke of cleverness. I'm fully aware of both.
On another note, I'm relishing this period of mystery before the schedule is released. I know that when the 16th rolls around I will be simply anticipating the music, as thinking about the shedule will nearly be done by then.
But c'mon, release the friggin' schedule this week you hoarding ants!!!!
Funny you mention marshmallows as one of the classic tests of patience is the "Marshmallow Test". Would you rather have one marshmallow now, or can you wait for a little while and get two marshmallows? (see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deferred_gratification ) You can have 80 bands now, or if you wait just a little longer, you'll get more marshmallows!
On the other hand, you already have too many marshmallows.
I like drinking the milk after the marshmallows have been sitting in there for a while. The milk gets all pink and delicious. It's the best part. I think it would only be better with more marshmallows, the milk would be even more pink and sweet. Sweet milk nectar. That's how my ears feel about Bonnaroo.

I f my memory is correct they had a contest to see what the new charm (marshmallow) would be. What is your vote for a new marshmallow? Or are you content with the marshmallows already anounced?

Hmm well I am already fairly content with the marshmellows already announced. However, if they unleashed maybe a little half-fish marshmellow, or maybe a little set of lips (engulfed in marshmellow flames of course), that would be grand. Maybe even a little 9.
